Agreed. And during his campaign Obama always came through with the winning play even when we folks in the nosebleed section weren't sure he was going to carry it off.
But I was a bit taken aback to see that beginning less than 24 hours after the election and still continuing the only names mentioned for the big jobs and inner circle are Chicago cronies or resurrected Clintonites or both. Surely a man who went to Columbia and Harvard Law and who is apparently admired planetwide and whose wife went to Princeton can call on the best and the brightest from just about anywhere.
I'm willing to wait to see how it gels, but I'd feel reassured to see some new and brilliant faces.

Let's face it the MSM and also the folks on the blogs hate a vacuum. So we fill it will guesses and and whole truths created out half truths. My sense we will be both surprised and not so much.
Let's face it if the Obama camp had been piloting the Titanic, it may have bumped into an iceberg, but it sure wouldn't have sprung a leak.

Thanks for the post. There was no way to respond to Josh's post.
I am tired of sweeping generalities being used to describe 'ALL" of TPM. I certainly am fine with what is going on. I have no issues with his current appointments.
I feel strongly that Lieberman should not retain his chairmanship and I am uncertain what President Elect Obama's real position is on that so we may disagree.
Are we not allowed to like him and still be very happy that he will be president and still disagree with him on this site??? I expect I may disagree with him about many things but he has the advantage of a greater education than mine and access to experts throughout the world so I'll fight when I think it's really important.
