Grew up in New Orleans and the Bronx. Daughter of Immigrant parents from Nicaragua and Panama. My father was a Democratic precinct captain in New Orleans and the Bronx. Professional singer. Many years singing opera and performing in recital and with orchestras in America and Europe. University professor. Graduate of Oberlin and Eastman School of Music.
