		        <![CDATA[<p>i've said before, one of the major differences between the republicans and the democrats is that the republicans will go out of their way, to their political detriment at times, to not anger their base. </p>

<p>Democrats on the other hand, love to piss of their base because they think its good politics and plays well with the "middle".</p>

<p>Hildebrand, i think, is trying to stir the pot for that specific purpose. Especially when I've actually been somewhat surprised that Obama's picks haven't created much of a liberal backlash at all. </p>]]>

<p>i don't see how leaking who's going to be SOS or DHS or AG or anything else really hurts obama. So we get the info a few days before its official. big woop.</p>

And all the talking heads, rachel maddow especially, keeps talkign about these leaks as if they're a sign obama is just another politician who really won't bring about change. and that makes no sense to me. i don't see how leaking who you're chief of staff is going to be suddenly undermines your vision of change...</p>]]>

<p>secondly, you may have forgotten over these last 8 yrs but the senate is a co-equal branch of govt. the president can't dictate to the senate any more than the house can dictate the the executive.</p>]]>

<p>The democrats however, LOVE angering their base. They think its good politics and plays well to center.</p>

		        <![CDATA[<p>ON hardball the other night, they had these two women debating Hillary as SOS and they both were very hard on her and almost paranoid about her motives. One even raised the prospect of Hillary running a "shadow government" from state.</p>

<p>Now, as a Hillary Hater throughout the primaries and much of the general, even I thought that was uncalled for. I mean, if anyone was going to be having those thoughts, it would be me. But i actually couldn't believe these supposedly sane, rational people were saying these things. It sounds utterly ridiculous.</p>

<p>And I don't know what it is, maybe they just need the prospect of the Clintonian soap opera to never end, but at some point, it all jumps the shark. and i think when you talk about "shadow governments" you've reached that point.</p>]]>
