From news accounts of the press conferences, Bush says that he does not "recollect" speaking to Ms. Miers about abortion.

Well if that is the case, then did Mr. Rove speak to Ms. Miers about her views on Roe v. Wade? Does he have some inside knowledge that he has not shared with the President?

If he is sharing this knowledge with James Dobson and his followers before informing the President, wouldn't we have another case of extreme insubordination?

Let Mr. Rove come forward and explain himself. I think that America wants some answers, none of which he will want to share.

"So what ?" you say. Somewhere along the way these men went from being conscripts in the US Army, McVeigh even wanting to be in Special Forces, to violently acting out against the government that they swore to defend. The war wasn't what they were promised and at some point they became disillusioned. Somewhere in those dark recesses of the human mind, violence seemed to be a rational choice.

So yeah that was ancient history. These new vets won't do that...will they? Already we are seeing young men and women coming back from a war and acting out. There was the Marine of the year that fired on a crowd outside his home. There was the other young man that shot and killed a young woman when he went to get some suds. Then there are the countless acts of domestic violence that have occurred. Down at Fort Bragg, there have been at least 4 murders of men killing their wives.

With suicide rates in Iraq staying high, tours being extended indefinitely, rising casualty rates, and the ongoing stress of being in a guerilla war--the stress is understandable. What has not happened yet is that no one has connected this acting out with a political philosophy or agenda.

When men that have the means and knowledge to inflict serious harm on decision makers combine that with the severe loss of faith in our government, the results could be disasterous.

Perhaps that is the greatest achievement of Cindy Sheehan. She gives the non-violent peace movement some hope. Until she took the stage, there was more of an attitude of "You have your sit -in, we'll have our conference call".

We need an outlet for these people that have experienced the disillusionment of Iraq. And we need it now.....
