Connecticut GOP Gov. M. Jodi Rell has vetoed a bill to raise the minimum wage in the state, which had passed the legislature with veto-proof majorities in both houses.

Connecticut is the only state where the real income of the bottom quintile of the population has actually declined since the late 1980s.
