Why Do These Guys Hate American Workers?
I read this by Eric Kleefeld last night...
..and followed the links provided within the article.
I had this reaction: WHAT?
Boycotting GM? WHAT!
Who thinks this crap up?
Farking iceholes, that's who. And you most likely know I mean that enormous fat glob of regurgitated KenL-Ration that sits behind a microphone at some radio station. He opens his maw and stupid comes out. He wants our country to fail. He wants our,yes I said our, president to fail because Obama is our president whether he likes it or not. Now conservative radio talk show host wants the American worker to fail.
American workers. What does he have against us?
Oh, yeah...loved that little qualifier at the end of the bloviation.
money....oh, yeah, conservative radio talk show hosts must have forgot about that
bailout because it occurred during, well shall we say, during the NotObama
administration?
But, I digress.
Enough about that.....that ...Jabba the Hutt wannabe. I will not even dignify his
existence with an extra link here.
Now there's another guy, another conservative radio person on a mission to further cripple our already crippled economy. Talk about kicking somebody when they're already down. What kind of farked up logic is trapped inside these pea sized brains?
Unions brought down GM? Are you farking kidding me? This guy, Hewi....never mind, you ain't getting any free advertising from me either. This guy wants everyone to boycott GM products and services. This is simply brilliant in its stupidity.
Just how is that supposed to work, conservative radio talk show hosts? Let's empty all the factories of hard working laborers and boy, that'll teach those.......um, uh.....that'll teach 'em!
Well, I've got an idea, too. I can stay awake all night and think up stupid shit just as good as the next guy.
Why don't we American workers boycott conservative radio talk shows?
I mean, really, what useful product do they produce, besides poisonous hot air? They offer nothing constructive. They offer no solutions.
On the other hand, the American worker does produce things worthwhile.
What America is? What it is? What is America if it is not its workers?
But these guys want American workers to fail.
They want us to lose our jobs.
They want us to go bankrupt.
They want us to lose our homes.
They want to disable our ability to give our dependant children adequate care.
They want us to go on welfare.
They want us to die in the streets.
They go off on a rant without any thought other than ratings and how much fatter their book deals can get. GM and Chrysler are in bankruptcy. It's already happened, you can't go back in time and undo it. It's done. And you are not psychic so you don't know how it's going to turn out down the road. Conservative radio talk show hosts haven't even considered what might actually happen.
You didn't do your homework, jocks.
Well, I did a bit....
It didn't take much to find out who's going to be the chief restructuring officer handling the GM turnaround. His name is Al Koch. Probably his most well know turnaround was K-mart. You know....that big pre-WalMart explosion discount store chain that filed for bankruptcy protection, emerging in 2003 and a year later acquired Sears. Last time I looked, K-mart is still around...so is Sears. Leaner, yes, and still fighting gigantic WalMart. But, they survived. And workers are working because they did survive, because of careful handling by a knowledgeable restructuring specialist.
So, I've got a little more faith that GM will not fail because there is proven leadership taking control. I've got a little more faith there will be workers at work...blue collar union workers....white collar workers, too...because when the conservative radio talk show hosts prevail upon their audiences to boycott GM products and services, the pencil pushers and bean counters will lose their jobs right along with the union factory personnel.
American workers.
Just regular folks, most of them. Getting up every day, going to work, bolting that bolt, twisting that knob, pushing that pencil, going home, getting up and doing it all over again. Reminds me of a few lyrics to a Pink Floyd tune.
Not now John,
We've got to get on with this
Don't what it does
But it fits on here like this.
Come at the end of the shift
We'll go and get pissed
But not now John
I've got to get on with this.
End rant.

Anyway, the point is, be it General Motors, be it Chrysler -- whatever else Obama ends up controlling and running -- the American people are not going to want it to succeed. So I want all of you who work at General Motors and all of you who are members of labor unions to understand that the opposition to you is not because of you. It's because of opposition to Obama and turning America upside down and 180 degrees out of phase from what America is.Hmmmm....odd, there wasn't any boycotting of the big banks that took TARP
money....oh, yeah, conservative radio talk show hosts must have forgot about that
bailout because it occurred during, well shall we say, during the NotObama

:o) I do not recall from whom I stole iceholes, so have fun with it, Still. Ya know, I was trying to keep the swearing down to a minimum, but sometimes it's just too damn hard. And the name calling, too. I usually don't indulge in that....but every once in a while.......

There's an old joke I heard from a Yupik Eskimo from Dillingham, on Bristol Bay.
Here's how you catch a seal. You dig a hole in the ice and put peas around the lip. Canned or frozen, does not matter, they WILL be frozen pretty soon anyway. So, when a seal comes up to take a pea, you kick him in the icehole!

It seems like for the past couple weeks the stuff I've been reading has done nothing but set me off. I really have to calm down here, Lis, because this isn't doing my blood pressure any good. ;o)
I have very strong feeling about the working class. My dad once told me that working class people are always the first to get shoved around, mainly because they are so busy making a living, they don't have time to push back.
The working class needs advocates, not adversaries.

They also need to vote in their economic self-interests, and not against minorities and the liberal "elites." The Limbaughs of the world have played "hard working, white Americans" like a violin since Nixon started appealing to the Silent Majority in the '60s.

The stereotypical Reagan Democrat was in Macomb County, Michigan, which was comfortably middle class in 1980 due primarily to, you guessed it, the auto industry. Those people helped cut their own throats. I just hope the current economic crisis inoculates them against the divisive appeals that originally sent them into the arms of the Republicans once and for all.

Michigan Reagan Democrat autoworkers certainly did cut their own throats. They forgot the struggle....all they were seeing was the big paychecks and comfy living. But, they forgot where labor started out...they turned their backs on that and instead of working to insure that ALL laborers had the same benefits, they just looked away.
A classic case of 'I got mine so screw you.'
As it stands right now, I feel that labor will be sticking with the Dems. And if the Dems can come through with a fair and balanced health policy....well, that will go a long way towards keeping labor on their side.

Gotta say that if GOP leader Limbaugh keeps on this completely crazy tact, then he's going to eventually piss off even the base. A lot of conservatives love their Chevy trucks.....

Well, they sure seem to hate the American worker, OG. I cannot follow their logic on this. At least the conservative radio talk show hosts and their followers that identify themselves as Republicans seem to hate. Unfounded hate.

The logic of bullshit is weird. Don't assume that it makes sense, is the first step. It's designed to mislead.
June 9, 2009 4:02 PM | Reply | Permalink
Hmmmm. I've always thought bullshit was an art form and did not follow any precise pattern of logic....which gives proof to your comment, eds. :o)
June 9, 2009 5:57 PM | Reply | Permalink
It can be raised to the level of an art form, but as art it's less morally offensive, imo!
Sophistry can be understood as an art form, the art of rhetoric. But there is a difference in principle between persuasion and conviction - the former being the province of rhetoric, the latter that of logic.

They really want whatever money they can steal, in whatever way they can without regard to who it belongs. That's the end game. Virtually nothing happens in this country but what that isn't the goal.

The GOP should turn in their flag pins. They do not deserve to wear them anymore. To describe oneself as a patriot and then call for the failure of GM is ludicrous.

Love your passion, Flower. "Iceholes". Love that, too. Can't believe I never heard that growing up in Michigan. The creative scatology of the human mind never ceases to amaze.
I have a harder time recently gathering the energy for a rant. A wise philosopher once said: "We're as doomed as doom can be". This modern sage seems to be turning out to be prescient. The middle class is the new poor and the upper-middle is the new middle. The rich are still, well, the rich. And the poor are just totally out of sight and mind. They don't even exist in the national imagination.
Limbaugh is a Goebbels-in-waiting in some fever-dream of his of a shadow govt idea of a new Reichpublican Party. Nothing Obama or the Dems propose will reverse the continuing disempowerment and impoverishment of formerly productive workers. We are being raped by Wall Street and international finance, but are being vastly entertained by varied Bread and Circus vendors, so we go along more or less complacently with the slow anal rectitude. By any reasonable account, we are being f'ed and we are f'ed.

Way up there near the top of the thread, Donal has informed us that 'iceholes' is from the movie 'Johnny Dangerously'....and I do recall seeing that movie so that is probably from whence it popped into my mind.
It does seem like there has just been a big shift and the poor have been pushed off the back edge of the table, doesn't it? Again a case of workers/the poor/the working poor needing advocates, not adversaries.
"As doomed as doomed can be".
That sounded like something Eeyore would say, but after a quick google, I find out differently. :o)

But Rush, Newt, O'Reilly, Hannity and the rest of the Republicans don't like Obama because he doesn't look like or think like they do.
They like themselves so much.
Geroge W. fit the bill for them, he was a dumb white guy with no conscience who lied a lot and loved himself more than anything, just like them.
