DJ Reasons Video: Glen Beck Hates 9/11 Victims REMIX
One can only hope he will continue to lose sponsorship as this becomes more distributed. The real patriotism of Beck in his own words, reframed by DJ Reasons:

Wow - talk about taking something out of context.
Somehow having a problem with 10 or so of the 9/11 families is now being attributed to Beck hating all of them

Are you kidding me? Glenn Beck qualifying his statement with "I hate probably about ten of them" does NOT diminish the level of animosity behind his words. So it's okay for Beck to hate ten families as long as he can tolerate the other few thousand? Hate is hate. Period.
Please explain how THIS statement can be taken out of context: "But when I see a 9/11 victim family, you know, on television, or whatever, I’m just like, ‘Oh, shut up.’ I’m so sick of them."
I understand that everything is a matter of interpretation, but when words like "hate, sick and shut up" are directed towards one group of people, the sentiment is crystal clear.

I'm not defending what he said. I'm saying that the video just repeats over and over again the use of his word "hate" with the 9/11 victims.
And I do think it makes a difference if he said I hate all of them versus if he said I hate 10 of them. But the little video doesn't bother to highlight any of that. It just plays over and over again that he hates 9/11 victims. So I do think the video is misrepresenting what he said.

HA. I'm not misrepresenting, merely magnifying. Beck himself says he'd be "out of his mind" to say this outloud.
He's right.
Repeating this dreck doesn't make it any worse, it just removes the bullshit disclaimers and excuses he has for it.
Judging from his sponsorship, he's finally learning that what he says matters.
Sue me.

Of course, if Olbermann or Madow had said it I bet you'd be defending them!

Yeah they always say things this STUPID.
You all done?

In fact, feel free to provide anything by either of them that is remotely Beck like.
"Poisoning" Nancy Pelosi? Calling the president racist?
Nope, you gotta get to Fox for stuff like this. And if Olberman or Maddow punked NYC or 9/11 like this I'd fucking remix it in a heartbeat.
You got nada, and you know it. Quite pretending you do.

Sorry for bringing up others. I digressed and should have kept the focus on your audio of Beck's comment. The point here is your remix of Beck. Like I said below, you call it "poetic license" and I call it misrepresenting something.

Who does he think he is, hating ANY of them? Because they COMPLAIN? So what if they haven't grieved in a way he approved of; they lost their family members.
This is the guy who cries on air, and whines about socialism and racism while he laughs all the way to the bank!
...and your point is that we shouldn't hold this complete ass-hole responsible because he only hates a limited number of people that he considers unworthy? Well, MCB, at least you are consistent. Do you want to be in charge of how many people republicans can justifiably hate just because of ... well.... whatever...you choose the topic; I'm sure there are many.
You, and Glenn can hate as many people as you want to. Just don't expect others to do what your brethren do and yell, "Yeah!!! Liar!" etc, etc etc at the President and the rest of us. I know that is what you are used to from your "flocks," but don't expect it from people who actually think.

Look - I lost friends on 9/11. But if Beck wants to say that he hates some of the families, he can say that. I wouldn't have said it if I were him but it's his right to do so.
I was simply trying to make the point that the video posted misrepresents what he said.
Your truly,
The guy Cville called a racist

It's tough to misreprent someone using their own words.
Perhaps you meant "poetic license"?
I'm sure this horrible video "misrepresents" Anne Coulter for calling 9/11 widows "harpies":

It isn't called art a free speech for nothing. I stand by what I did.

It is misrepresenting them when you only use selective parts of their quote. If someone didn't listen to the entire comment, but only your audio clip, they wouldn't have a full understanding of what was said.
When Obama gives an hour long speech and an idiot like Rush L harps on one particular sentence and ignores the rest of what was said, that is misrepresenting something. Even though he quoted Obama word for word in that one particular sentence.

Right, because it's impossible to find similar rhetoric on the left.
As for the video, you are free to think it misrepresents, I called it "reframing" in the description.

Let's not forget what he said about Katrina victims:
“And that's all we're hearing about, are the people in New Orleans. Those are the only ones we're seeing on television are the scumbags -- and again, it's not all the people in New Orleans. Most of the people in New Orleans got out! It's just a small percentage of those who were left in New Orleans, or who decided to stay in New Orleans, and they're getting all the attention.”

...and they are "scumbags," that'll be in the extended mix.
