Bio
I am a very interesting person. Despite being raised by wolves in the urban jungle, and failing to gain a basic maturity until my late twenties, I do have a "Highest Honors in History" degree from a good school, I was a free-lance non-fiction writer for a number of years, I've mostly been an independent micro-businessperson most of my life. I was also active in leftish politics in the 60's and the 70's, and again in the 90's. In one small city in CA I was selected chair of an "anti-Walmart" local campaign that came within 200 votes of victory (against several millions of WalMart's dollars), and in the 2000 campaign I was one of the top 12 Nader operatives in my current state of residence. Since 2004 I have mostly supported Democrats and was one of Moveon-dot-org's top 5% of callers for a D. Congress, yet I'm still very dis-satisfied with those cowardly sell-outs and remain interested in building a mature left party of intelligent people. I won't even begin to relate all my wild adventures as a leader of the cultural side of the left, which has been radical and cutting-edge since 1962, without ever leading to insanity, burnout, corporate sell-out, cynicism or serious jail time ... even in my "conservative" phase in the late 70's, I was never much further to the right than Jimmy Carter. Silver Wedding Anniversary coming up, son is getting mostly A's in college, also a teenage daughter in a open "David Crosby-Melissa Etheridge" deal with a nice couple in CA (my wife's idea).
