Today I was thinking about the ugly territory that Palin is trolling in at her rallies - potentially fear-mongering her way into some serious trouble. And I remembered the RNC.

Still-President Bush (not present) said the following of John McCain:

"If the Hanoi Hilton could not break John McCain's resolve, you can be sure the angry Left never will.''

The angry left? I don't remember seeing such a thing in this campaign. Not from Obama. Not from Biden. Not from their supporters.

Shouldn't we all be a bit concerned, in this case, about the repercussions of stirring up the Angry Right?
