I'm looking forward to seeing the results, too. I'm a little concerned about turnout here, though. When I went to vote this morning, there were only a handful of people there, and that seems to be prevailing throughout the day, I've read.

I'm of the opinion that runoffs conducted in this manor are less than democratic, in that the outcome is going to be decided by far fewer people than those that came out on election day in November.

I think you're missing my point - and maybe I didn't make it clearly enough - which is that Nagourney seems to be stating as fact that Obama and the party treated Hillary badly during the primaries. I don't think that's the case, and I don't think that assertion serves Obama well, especially if there are still Hillary supporters out there that are on the fence. I think if you're going to make an assertion like that, back it up.

Also, the bit about McCain picking Hillary for his v.p. is a joke - clearly, Hillary wouldn't have crossed party lines to become his running mate, and I think as Democrats we're all grateful for Hillary's support of Obama.

I just came from casting my ballot in early voting here in Georgia, in the Atlanta area, and easily 95% of the hundreds and hundreds of people standing in line with me for three hours were African-Americans. Presuming most were Democrats - which seems to hold true in Dekalb County, where I voted - I think it bodes well for Obama. At least I hope so.
