Republican Leadership Now?

With a crushing defeat to the Republicans, who will be the new face of the republican party on January 20th.

Could it really be Sarah Palin? I think this campaign really took a lot out of her political moves in the future, but who knows maybe Republicans could somehow forget.

Similarities on Mccain Closing Pitch #3

Sounds awfully familiar to Kucinich's "wake up america" speech during the convention

Fight = Wake Up

Paralles from the Past

Stumbled on the opening statements from the 92 VP debates.

Quale and Gore sound eerily similar to the election this year.

Please help me pass

Im taking a politics course and my teacher has given us debate topics to which I have to stand by the pro side of each issue

The topics are:

1. Primaries should be abolished in favor of stronger national conventions

2. National parties should eliminate "super delegates."

3. All delegates should be awarded on a "winner takes all" basis.

4. All states should hold their primaries on the same to create a one-day super "national" primary day.

5. The major television networks should be required to cover more aspects of the national conventions.

could you please provide me with opinions that would show how these topics would be good?

TPM Future

I've been viewing this blog for more than a year now, and I just wanted to say that I too clearly want to see Barack Obama as our next president; but you may be polarizing your website too far to the left.

Border

Looking back now, never have I witnessed so much coverage of an issue and see absolutely nothing done. It was a terrible idea to begin with but with all the coverage it recieved its amazing nothing came of it.

McCain on Earmarks... With extended thoughts

Yesterday, on Letterman McCain joked about how tax payers sent 3 million dollars to montana to research bear DNA. Oh boo hoo for the tax payers. This isnt the sucker bet, the war in Iraq is the sucker bet.

Earmarks are a drop in the bucket compared to what the war in Iraq costs us. The amount of money already spent on Iraq could've been used to fix so many domestic problems where no petty party lines need to be drawn.

Now people are complaining about the bail-out of Bear-Sterns; but if Bear wouldve gone bankrupt it wouldve rippled throughout all of Wall Street. The Fed stepped in and took necessary action. The bailout is again a drop in the bucket to what the war has cost us.
