I am...

Proud to be from OMAHA!!!

Lieberman

So...how long do you think it will take Joe Lieberman to switch to the Republican party?  I say the sooner the better.  Or are Democrats still supposed to play nice with him because they didn't achieve a super-majority?

Dump him.

Powell Endorsment

Sure, Barack may have Colin Powell in his corner, but don't forget that McCain has Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild.  I think she evens things out, pretty much.

Armchair quarterbackin'

When McCain told Barack that he wasn't Bush, and that Barack should have run for president 4 years ago if he wanted to run against Bush, it would have been real sweet if Barack would have said:

"Maybe you should have run for president against George Bush 4 years ago, instead of embracing him, if you wanted any credibility today as you try to distance yourself from him".

And then he could hold up the picture of McCain hugging W.

"I agree with John..."

Republicans are crowing because Obama said "I agree with John", 7 or 8 times during the debate.

But for the last few weeks, one of their talking points has been that Obama hasn't done anything bi-partisan (you know -- like the mavericky McCain).

I know it was a debate, and the idea is to highlight differences, but still.  Who seems to be willing to find common ground?  Obama or McCain?

You know what I'd like to see???

Helen Thomas interviewing Sarah Palin.

That's what I'd like to see.

Convention Diversity

I wonder if we will see the MSM do a visual comparision of crowds in the Democratic and Republican conventions?

Is there some reason only The Daily Show can bring this up?  It's a real issue.  The Republican convention was populated with old, white people...the Democratic convention was filled with diversity, and anyone with eyes could see the drastic contrast between the two.

I have nothing against old white people -- someday I'll be one.  I just don't feel comfortable with a president who only represents that narrow demographic.

Palin and Children with Disabilities

Palin said she would be an advocate for people with children with disabilities if she made it to the White House.

I don't have the resources, but wouldn't it be smart for the Obama campaign to complile a list of things Republicans have done for disabled children compared to what Democrats have done (or tried to do) in the last 25 years?

I guess what I'm saying is...when did Republicans start caring about the disabled?
