a mandatory post election post,
What a relief it is, that finally this war is over, and the good guys did win. Watching the news of the people's reaction just after the polls at the western states closed was really amazing. I don't think I ever imagined people getting this emotional about an election. The angle from the MSM is that this is a historic win, and finally a black man has won the presidency, which is comandable. The amazing thing for me though is that, during the election, following Barrack's speaches, and his campaign messages, I had never thought that that was an issue, and I think the majority of voters thought the same way: Barrack Obama won this election because he was clearly the better candidate, with the better campaign, and the better message. He won not because he is black, and people wanted to make history, but rather because he was the best qualified candidate for the job. And I think that's what Americans can be most proud of right now.
