You don't hear the silent revolution ~ ebmartin
We don't hear you, friend
We're no longer sitting at home de-zoning and doling out
No longer deep fried, pie eyed and all consumed
We're not some materialist (or post-) commodity forecast
You don't hear the silent revolution
We don't hear you, not anymore.
O but we're listening, it's in every script, song, poem and blog
It used to be we could hold onto the songs at least
But where are they now and who owns them?
No matter, you don't hear the silent revolution
Speaking of matters what we have here is communication
Fingertips and fingertips of information and still not enough coffee
We're not the ones raising the prices of the good ol' java bean
You can't hear it but we know you are feelin' it!
You don't hear the silent revolution
You don't own this, I do.., and okay we do!
But not you, you have bigger fish to fry, bigger or you go home
Until of course we're that big that you cannot dismiss us,
(Post Watergate Nixon, Halleluiah Falwell, Father Fox network, Gentleman Clinton, Roves Bush gardens etc.) when you might catch on.
No one ever plans to lose and unlike you
We heard the silent revolution.
