McCain's reason for wanting to be President was that everyone told him he should be President one day.
As long as he cowers in the back pocket of the Senate Republican Leadership he can stop proclaiming what a maverick he is. I hope he enjoys the smell back there.

McCain has never been a leader, contrary to the proclamations of same. He is but a sheep of the toxic Repubs - a weak, smarmy little man who has no brains and no balls, and absolutely no moral compass.
Whew! I feel better now.
It's kind of pathetic. Obama has made all kinds of outreach to him, and even had a dinner for him a while back. It takes a certain kind of maturity to lose with dignity and grace.
