I was raised a poor white child... well, I was born and raised in Los Angeles and then Escondido, a 3rd generation native Californian. Now I live in Vermont and love it. I'm a Baby Boomer and yes, I inhaled. Now I'm a fringe member of the establishment... an English professor.
