It is stunning to me that the McCain campaign had the audacity of hopelessness to trot out the most stunningly unqualified candidate for Vice President in recent memory.  Dan Quayle was a U.S. Senator after all.  Ms. Palin appears to be qualified to be a lovely, much younger, assistant ready to turn over letters or point to high pressure centers on a map.  The vacuousness of her introductory speech underscored that this was either a senior moment for the Arizona Senator or a Harriet Miers style Trojan Horse... The rough an tumble world of the Wasilla, Alaska PTA certainly prepares one to sit eye to eye with nuclear armed adversaries.
