The lies continue
I heard John McCain last night at the Saddleback Forum. When asked to name a Supreme Court justice that he would not have nominated as President, he named Ginsberg, Breyer, Souter, and Stevens. Checking the roll call votes for each of these, McCain did not vote for Stevens as he was nominated in 1975 by President Ford and McCain was not in the Senate at that time. He voted "Yea" for all of the other 3. It's a bit peculiar that he would not have nominated them but voted for their appointment. Unless we are to believe that McCain believes that because a President nominates the Senate must confirm. That would be scary.
