Early on, I was for John Edwards. He was talking about the middle classes, Clinton had too much baggage, and Obama was only where he was because Jeri Ryan's husband wanted to have sex in public. As it became clear that the MSM had successfully marginalized Edwards into a hair mannequin, I began to lean towards Obama. He was inexperienced but he seemed to be able to inspire people - and Clinton still had a target on her back for the right-wing mud machine.

Well, now Hillary has alienated me beyond her electability issues, and Barack has a serious association with God Damn America. I now wonder if either can defeat McCain, who will certainly get a smooth ride from the media despite his reputation as a swordsman, his association with Keating and his less-than-straight talk on lobbyists. If the government "finds itself" in any sort of military operation, I think McCain will sail into office.

Is going to the convention such a bad idea?
