The only thing is, for people who know this school district, no one is surprised. They are notorious for this sort of stupidity and extremism. They are also a huge district with thousands of students. Your tax dollars at work.
I know many of you from the East Coast are horrified but here ya go. Welcome to a bankrupted California (not just in finances) as of 2009.

We must get the pressure on now. Call, write the district. Post every school district in the nation doing this. FOLKS? Please post them here.
EGUSD gets public tax dollars including federal tax dollars (and isn't this the epitome of hypocrisy!!! No problem taking state and federal money but don't let the black president speak at the school!).
I got a few emails from friends in NYC and Boston assuming this was all B.S.
