As much as I do not like Palin, I think what FOX NEWS is doing - talking about petty internal struggles of the campaign - is very wrong and scary. I have to question their reasons for turning on her, now. What is the purpose of their recent expose when all during the campaign they were treating her with kid gloves?
Fox is doing it because they can read the polls, too, and don't think Palin's helpful to the Republican ticket.
They probably are rooting for a more business friendly Repub.
FOX takes their cue from various right-wing hacks, and right now apparently the conventional right-wing-hack wisdom is to ruthlessly take down Caribou Barbie so she doesn't hurt the chances of Romney, or whoever they're planning on anointing for 2012.....
No one yet knows where Sarah will end up, but she does have a bright future. Maybe she can be VP for Huckabee next time around.
In the end, I think the Republicans found out that Christian extremists are a faction and not the base. Leaving reality behind angered a lot of the parties intellectuals. There was just not enough lipstick to convince anyone she ever read anything that did not relate to Alaska prior to her accepting the nomination.
