She Paid for a Used Tanning Booth Herself?

Oh no, looks like Tanning-gate is a failure. Sarah Palin paid for a used tanning booth out of her own pocket. I guess we can hit her on the sheer recklessness of risking skin cancer, a big concern in the Heartland I hear. Used But not abused :-( [PS - I hear tanning diaries bring big Recs. Come on, folks, this bit of internet sleuthing should bring me 400 at least.] [PPS - And don't bother to remind me about the market crash - I hear it doesn't matter and Obama has it all wrapped up anyway, he could win it with 3 hands tied behind his back, which is the only thing anyone should care about.]

Rove Speaks, Democrats Listen

Why did Rove say McCain had gone over the line? Lessee, my hunch is 1) it's a non-issue that only Dems and the occasional pundit seems to care about, and 2) it moves us away from the Palin chatter which in no way was helping the Republican ticket.

The wishful take that Rove was somehow worried about the tone of the election is pretty absurd on the face of it. Rove needed something that the Democrats would take as shark bait, and so we pounced on it. The story is still sitting up on CNN as its leading political story - better than "the Governor is a political doofus". Of course it will now be replaced by something on the meltdown - unless Rove makes a funny face and sticks out his tongue.

Arf.

Meltdown and Bailout: Change of Plan

The 80's are back with us, the GOP's heyday with S&L scandals including McCain and the Bush family.

What change does McCain bring to a trillion dollar bailout? What economic changes can McCain bring to the table?

In 1987, McCain's old navy buddy Charles Keating asked him to help save his S&L. McCain did. 2 years later it cost the taxpayers $2.6 billion.

Between Fannie Mae, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and AIG, who will come to McCain for favors, and how much will it cost us this time?

Financial scandals and the poor economy are now center stage. Sarah Palin's never handled a hurricane, much less a financial crisis. McCain's only mishandled a financial crisis.

How can Obama/Biden place themselves on this?

Stop Reading Liberal Blogs!!!

Well, after realizing Kate O got 206 Recs for her retread of Hillary gripes and fiction ("the party never belittled her"...hee hee hee) and calling out Palin for supposedly using the gender card (hey, isn't that what Hillary did last October? Think that'll work twice?)....

And of course couldn't get any traction on Chris Bowers at OpenLeft's advice to start taking out your own ads. 4 Recs at best for those posts. Obviously we'd rather whine about Hillary and Sarah....

Let's just say, feeling quite disappointed and uninspired with the latest batch of, "don't lose hope, it surely can't be as humiliating as 2000 & 2004" posts....

So forget it, no more wasted time trying to write long interesting posts. Besides, Jonah Goldberg, one of the stupidest humans on earth and a perfect example of patronage and nepotism, shows how the Republicans will eat our lunch.

Forget it. This is irrelevant. I do feel sorry for Chris, though - despite his good ideas and hard netroots work, he hasn't figured out what Jonah has, why McCain is rising. The Republicans have re-found their nut, and now they're going to crack ours. Just spin everything that moves to the right, the conservative version of the Hokey Pokey. That's what it's all about.

And you know what to do, go find a 2-line post on a video seen somewhere and click Recommend.
