		        <![CDATA[<p>This isn't "as kicking" this is pointless grandstanding. The law would never pass, and frankly writing poorly thought out laws like this when you're angry is the definition of being a reactionary.  We need forward thinking laws to deal with inequality in our society not to go around and talk about wanting to hit bankers in the head with bricks when things get really sideways. </p>

<p>If the law passed, I wouldn't cry too much but it's a terrible, ineffective way to legislate.  </p>

<p>But of course, everyone knows it won't pass, including Clare McCaskill. </p>]]>

This legislation is pratically the definition of reactionary thinking, it's poorly thought out and it does nothing to solve the underlying problem. She's a blue dog and she's earning points with "angry" people without proposing anything that could solve the underlying problems because it would never pass. He started out this year a Billionare and now his wife is worth $25 million.  It's still a lot but he clearly had no idea what was coming (or else his wife doesn't actually listen to him -- Hah).</p>

<p>And just the other day he was saying how <a href="http://yglesias.thinkprogress.org/archives/2009/01/friedman_to_palestinians_suck_on_this.php">great it was that the Israelis were killing lots of Palestinians</a>, as they needed to be "taught a lesson", just like the Iraqis I guess.</p>

<p>Friedman is an idiot and no one should listen to him.  He just wants to inflate a green energy bubble so he can get Rich again, before bailing out right before the crash.</p>]]>

<p>But realistically, is there any chance of any of that happening (especially reimbursement) with Tim Geithner in charge over there? I would guess no. Especially not the 'reimbursement for bonuses' thing. I'd love that, but I doubt it could happen.</p>

<p>Wall Street owns DC, and I don't see that changing any time soon.  We need to do something about the insane amount of lobbying going on.</p>]]>
