Recapturing the Spirit of 9/12

Glenn Beck and his Merry Band of Roving Wingnuts have converged in the Nation's Capital in an effort to remind us all of the Spirit of 9/12, when the country was united.

Remember that spirit?

Remember how everyone supported the President, whether they were Republicans or Democrats?

Remember how almost every house had an American Flag hanging from its front porch?

Remember the spirit of community we all felt as we recalled the sacrifice of the firefighters and police who gave up their lives for strangers?

TeaBag-3

We were all one people, united by a disaster, standing behind our president.

This is the spirit that Glenn Beck and his Merry Band of Patriots is trying to recapture.

God Bless 'Em!

Thanks for posting. I wanted to give the link to their site; the march starts at 11:30 EST.

All the info on the different organizations paying big bucks to help sponsor the event, with links to their organizations; agenda, speakers, media coverage, comments, advice for sign-making; it's all here. States rights, secession...

It's quite an education. Take special note of the site for NARLO, the National Association of Rural Landowners; their agenda is pretty wild, if dangerous.

The queerest part to me is that many supposed "mainstream" Republicans are in support of all this, and some like Mike Pence, are actually speaking. It all makes my head ring.

Bio

After nearly a year of having problems and not knowing what was going on, I was finally told I had Parkinson’s Disease in 2000 and had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery in June 2007 as part of a clinical trial to determine the safety and tolerabilty of DBS in early PD. I'm having problems with balance and gait. But for the most part, I’m doing just fine. I live in Elkridge, MD with my wife, Gail, my stepson, T.J., and our two doggies, Raven and Shiloh.
