It's a wonderful experience - once or twice - to stick out like a sore thumb. I had the privilege of going to Japan as a tourist some 20 years ago and stayed in some of the less-traveled sections as well as the major tourist spots. As a hetero white male I have no minority claims, unless being a left-handed Mac user counts, but it was enlightening to be seen as "different" by ordinary people - staring pre-schoolers and a very surprised drunken salaryman. In the communal hot baths I began to feel like a dead fish with my heat-reddened pale skin.
But I expect it would get wearing when being "other" happens daily.

Well, "Rule against" might be a better phrase. I'm assuming they will hear it on a speedy and sane basis, ruling against Coleman and ordering issuance of the certificate of election.

"Dismissed with prejudice" is the initial court's ruling, not quite "terminate with extreme prejudice".

Oh, and somebody ought to repossess those teeth.

1. Grants of immunity become irrelevant, and thus un-controversial, if a pardon removes jeopardy. It would open the door to charges of contempt of Congress (amply demonstrated in practice if not in law by plenty of Bushies...)
2. Nixon was pardoned by Ford without being tried, even by the Senate.
3. What we need is some congressman (Rep. Ellison, my rep, are you reading?) to stand up and say "Historical truth is more important than a single conviction. First one to talk gets immunity for everything s/he confesses."
Yeah, that's the classic Prisoners Dilemma, but how better to pump up the advance for your memoirs while ensuring you'll be free to enjoy them?
