		        <![CDATA[<p>Actually, having sex outside of marriage is recongnized as immoral in most people in the US, but people recognize that people do immoral things all the time.  However, when is comes to politicians, people get self-righteous.  </p>

<p>Isn't the first rule of cheating that you never admit the affair, no matter what, even if they have you on film.  Politicians always cheat on their wives, (no female politician could ever survive the first affair) and then have a press conference acknowledging guilt on national television, as if that helps the situation.  It never does.  It makes a bad situation worse.   It embarrasses the hell out of the wife, which only makes it more likely that she will leave him.  The public always holds it against him.  </p>

<p>If the guy simply said, "I am not going to put my marital business out in the street nobody would care."  </p>]]>
