Here is a transcript of the Cheney interview with Brit Hume:

Hume: So Mr. Vice President, can you please tell us exactly how that terrible accident happened?

Cheney: (same story Armstrong told considering she was just telling the Cheney version)

Hume:  So obviously it wasn't your fault.

Cheney:  Nothing is ever my fault, Brit.

Hume: Very true, Mr. Vice President.  Now can you tell us why you didn't make this public right away?  I mean I know why and I think you were totally right by the way, and most of our regular viewers agree with me but there are probably some liberals watching who don't understand human decency.

Cheney:  I don't think I owe anyone an explanation but since this whole incident is distracting me from my plan to invade Iran I'll just say that I was worried about my friend Whittington and I hope he'll continue to donate money.

Hume: Thank you Mr. Vice President.  Always a pleasure to have you on.
