John Edwards, You SOB!!!!!!

OK,  I'll admit to have a personal viewpoint on this (I wass diagnosed with breast  cancer after I found out that my husband had an affair, so I can hardly be objective).  BUT WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING?

And what was Elizabeth thinking, either?  No one can get away with this kind of dishonesty and emotional mess!  Who would think that  the other person in an affair would accept the role of someone that was "not loved" or whatever.

My next question is this:  Why not tell the whole truth?  If this affair  occurred 2 years ago, and there is now a baby, and John Edwards was visiting the mother of the baby, who is the same person he now admits he had an affair with,  WHY IN THE HELL WAS HE MEETING WITH HER AND THE BABY IN A HOTEL A WEEK OR TWO AGO --why should we think it is not HIS BABY?

I am so disappointed in him, I don't even know what to say.  He made a point in making his devotion to his family a big point in his campaign.   At least Democrats demand honesty from their people.  John McCain cheated on his wife when she was dying, but you never hear a word about it.

The Edwards's situation should be private, but they chose to go forward with the Presidential bid despite this knowledge, so that is why it is public.  They should have known better.

Why Obama MUST NOT TAKE OFFICE

Why isn't Obama winning by at least 20 percentage points in the polls? My fervent HOPE is that it is because many of his supporters (the young and the newly registered voters) don't have landlines and so are not included in the polls. On the other hand my terrible FEAR is that the fix is in. Why would George Bush be working for McCain, and why would republicans, who despise him be swallowing their pride (? as if they had any) to support this person, who until YESTERDAY voted against all their sacred cows? There are many reasons, including the Supreme Court, but the main reason, and the one that we really have to contend with is this: The billionaires who are in charge of the republican party MUST assure that Obama will not take office (remember, winning is not the issue as long as you can steal an election) because if Obama wins, the high crimes and treason committed by the Bush regime will certainly come to light. They have so much to lose that they will bet the farm on someone as pathetic as McCain, and then make the election totally about WHAT IS WRONG WITH OBAMA This election is not about the two candidates; it is about Obama and so their only hope is to discretit him in any sleazy way they can. Wes Clarke opened up the discussion about McCain, and we all saw what happened. If this election became a contest between two people and their abilities to face problems and make decisions it would already be over. Yet again we are confronted with facile BS short-cuts like "flip-flop, the race card," and other stupid excuses for evaluations of the candidates positions. I heard someone explain Obama's positon on drilling, which was, (if McCain had done it) an example of reaching across the isle. In this case it was the ff! My Friends, we have to start our own Straight Talk Express and if we dont, who will? If Obama doesn't take office, all these crimes will be pushed under the rug, and our country will never recover.

Bio

The first thing I did when I turned 16 was go out and apply for a passport. I've travelled widely, and lived in Europe for a while. I have 3 children; 23 (girl) 19 (boy twins), and after staying home with them for 17 years, I went back to nursing 3 years ago. It was hard to find someone to hire me, but I am in a wonderful office (infertility, ivf, etc) and work with great people.
