Clinton Fatigue?

I know Bill Clinton is supposed to be the Democratic Party's biggest asset and all, but, once again, his campaign trail rhetoric leaves a bad taste. First, it was the "fairy tale" talk, and taking Obama's Bush quote out of context. Now, he's going off on a reporter asking about the Nevada lawsuit, scolding him with "don't you be accusatory with me..."

And the thing of it is, Clinton's basically arguing against people getting to vote in a primary. At the least, if you're going to do that, you need to do so with a bit more tact and grace, no?

The Really, Really Definitive Critique

...comes from Jon Stewart:

Most touchy moment for Jonah came when Stewart asked him if one of the things he was against was people throwing around the charge "fascism" far too easily. Jonah said yes, then Stewart picked up a copy of the book and simply pointed to the title, "Liberal Fascism" -- adding, so why are you doing this?

Jonah Goldberg: What a dummy!!!

And this:

Goldberg got angry at one point and accused Stewart of not reading his book.

WAAAAAH!!!!!

If only I had the serious of thought of a Jonah Goldberg...to think what I could accomplish.

Mona Lisa Letdown

If you've ever visited the Louvre, you may have shared the sense of disappointment I had when seeing perhaps the most famous painting in the world, Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa." The combination of the crowds, the noise, and the unexpectedly small size of the painting -- behind glass, no less -- makes for a less-than-contemplative experience, as all subtlety is lost when viewing Art while, for example, getting elbowed in the gut.

It's something much closer to Disney, but with really old paint.

Today, another letdown. Part of what brought the crowds was the mystique behind the painting, as theories abound about who really was behind that smile. Now, it's solved.

Yeah, Mona Lisa was simply a woman named Lisa...
