Week of January 28, 2007 - February 3, 2007

His Own World

David Brooks (kept behind a wall for your safety):

The two major Republican presidential contenders are John McCain and Rudy Giuliani, the most aggressive internationalists in a party that used to have an isolationist wing.

Internationalist? Rudy?

And this...

John Edwards, the most “leftward” major presidential contender, just delivered a bare-knuckled speech in which he castigated the Bush administration for not being tough enough with Iran. “To ensure that Iran never gets nuclear weapons, we need to keep all options on the table,” Edwards warned.

John Edwards: Hawk. Yes, that's why all the liberals love 'em.

Finally...

The economy is humming along nicely.

That tie in the picture, Mr. Brooks. Silk, I presume?

My Favorite Show

Who's it going to be tonight: Marcel or Ilan?

(Away from the blog for almost 2 entire weeks, and this is the best I can come up with?)
