Narratives...

The Times says Dems are giving up on "rapid" withdrawal from Iraq:

In the cacophony of competing plans about how to deal with Iraq, one reality now appears clear: despite the Democrats’ victory this month in an election viewed as a referendum on the war, the idea of a rapid American troop withdrawal is fast receding as a viable option.

I'm sorry, but when was a "rapid" withdrawal ever even an option for Democrats, let alone a "viable" option?

Oh yes, we wanted to cut and run. That's right.

Money Well Spent

Effort begins to create W's Presidential library.

Cost? 500 million dollars.

What would you do with a half billion dollars? Prevent the spread of AIDS? Feed people? Develop new energy sources?

Or build a monument to the worst President in U.S. history?

(Cut to Late Night TV Comics making jokes about content of Bush Library...)
