MORE PROOF WE MUST NEVER LET THE GAYS GET MARRIED
Dear Friends in Christ:
You have all heard me preach the many reasons why letting the gays get married would spell disaster for our Country. But I found this list online that makes it even more clear why it's so important we keep up the good fight.
- Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
- Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
- Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
- Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
- Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
- Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
- Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
- Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in the world.
- Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
- Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I found this guy on youtube, and think he's just the type of manly man I'd like to have a beer with. You see - if men were more like this guy - I think his name is cheeks - I think that would keep men from choosing to be gay. Yup - this cheeks guy is the epitome of heterosexuality. His views in the Miss USA video are definitely in line with our movement.

I have been adamantly against 'the gays' being permitted to marry their soul-mates since the issue was brought to my attention a few months back. Not until I read your list (thank you so much for yet another insightful post!) have I been able to truly understand why I feel so strongly against it. I just knew I hated it, I hated it a lot.
Since being put on SSI for chronic fatigue by my doctor six years ago I spend the majority of my days calling into NPR, or posting/responding to blogs and message boards trying to fight the good Lord's fight by getting the message out that being different is wrong and as this Cheeks fellow so eloquently put it, not God's plan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qkxw4WswYs&feature=channel_page. Now that you have so graciously enlightened me, the next time I’m confronted by some dirty liberal as to why my outlook seems so narrow I will be able to fire back with one of these gems!
I can't tell you how many times a day I have some low-life city slicker try and debate me on this unnatural marriage issue. Without this list in hand my only argument has been (and granted, it SHOULD be the only argument that is ever needed for anything, EVER) that the bible says it's wrong and therefore it is! Shockingly, just as I am sure you have witnessed yourself, unsaved, hell-bound souls don't want to just accept this! Nope, those left-wing, deviant, homos always want to argue! 'Where does it say that?' they ask. 'Doesn't it also say that if a woman has sex during her period she should be stoned to death?' 'If God made us in his image does that mean that he is gay too?' 'Aren't all sins created equal and isn't it a sin to judge others?' 'Isn't that what YOU are doing right now?' 'Is God angry that YOU are trying to take over his job of righteous/hateful/all-knowing/judgement of humanity?' Ridiculous arguments such as those. They ask my why I am so obnoxiously vocal about a subject I know nothing about. Why have I done absolutely zero research prior to spewing my thought. Oh they think they are so smart! They think they are better than me just because I grew up in a trailer with an alcoholic mom, absentee father, and had to bring government cheese to school for lunch. Guess what though butt-pirates?! I was saved! You weren’t! Who will be laughing on judgement day you communist fags?! Who will be laughing then?! I can't wait for judgement day!
I apologize Reverend for that rant. That was the devil trying to destroy all the good work that Jesus is doing in my life. I will pray that everyone can be saved like I was and that they too can know the peace and sheer joy this amazing gift has brought me.
Anyway Good Reverend thank you again. I will quote your post often. When the devil/a liberal next puts me to the test I can just quote any of the above, say for instance #3 - gay marriage leads to pet marriage! Oh PRAISE YE, THAT WILL SURE SHUT THEM UP! I almost feel sorry for them, those damned, dirty shameful, pathetic, sinners!
They will not know what hit them!

Great post Kala. You speak the truth. There is a reason they call us the "Christian right" - because we are.
I think your most important point (and there were so many) was the fact that you don't need all those rational and well thought out arguments that the homo loving left uses - you can "drop some old school knowledge on them" with the Old Testament - and can show them that you "New your shit" with the New Testament.
Praise Jesus - for without him we would lack the reason to hate the gays.

I'm comforted by the fact that I am not being self-righteous when I laugh at gay marriage opponents - I'm just exercising my good humor.
They really are nutjobs. I'm not sure I could tolerate the company of anyone who truly believes the existence of gay marriage erodes the credibility of their own marriage.
It is crazy-talk that should be identified and treated quickly to avoid its spread amongst the general population.
