Fox News Aware Losses Could be Spun....Yup, and they are Ready

Fox News:

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama is making a last-minute campaign appearance for New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine's re-election bid.

Obama's scheduled to appear Sunday at a pair of rallies for the only incumbent governor seeking re-election. Just one of two governors' offices on the ballot for Tuesday's elections, the White House is aware Democratic losses would be spun as a referendum on Obama.

The results could also foreshadow next year's elections, when 37 governorships come up for grabs...

Meanwhile, another new poll finds Corzine and Republican challenger Chris Christie running nearly even in the race.

Excuse me?  "The WHITE HOUSE is aware Democratic losses would be spun as a referendum on Obama."

That should read instead as...."The FOX NEWS CHANNEL is aware Democratic losses COULD be spun......"

Fox would love nothing better for the Democrats running for Governor this Tuesday to lose, even if by small margins.  They'd have another 6 months at least, to talk/report/gossip about it.  "It's a sign the country isn't pleased with Obama", they'd say.

They of course would be ignoring the fact that the country itself is split in half on what is best for our economy, health and environment.

They would also be ignoring the fact that history shows us that all politics is local when it comes to the State elections.

How many times have you voted for a representative, senator or governor simply because of who the President of United States was?  If you did, you were wrong in doing so.  Your reasoning should have been because that 'person' was best for the job, not just an extension of a Party.

They'd also be ignoring the polls that show that the country is still supportive of President Obama (55% for, 40% against), and very unhappy with the actions of the Republican leadership in Congress (48% for Dems, 36% for Reps).

I also would love nothing better than to see John Corzine lose his bid for re-election. And I don't work for Fox. Just someone who has lived in New Jersey for over 30 years.

Specifically, what has Corzine done as NJ governor that you oppose?

Lots of things. For starters, he pledged to clean up corruption in the state but back in July we saw 44 mayors get arrested for a bizarre racketeering ring. He has been all over the map on how he plans to address NJ's budget problems. The tax cut promises he ran on were quickly broken, and even before we ran into economic problems. As early as 2006, he introduced a budget that raised taxes when he campaigned on lower taxes.

And on the ethics side, he has shown questionable judgement - such as the half million dollars he loaned his girlfriend, who just happened to be head of one of NJ's largest workers unions.

And on the much more "minor" side, I don't think Corzine's ads attacking Christie's weight were very appropriate.

Corzine is unpopular, but your views are not those of someone "just" from New Jersey.

You are a right wing patsy of Fox News (which is nothing but an investment scheme betting that stupid people can be riled up and make money for them) and a seditionist, anti-American kook who "wants his country back" from the voters who spoke overwhelmingly in a democratic election according to our Constitution.

That's really open minded of you. Many people share my views of Corzine, which is why his poll numbers aren't higher. Who are you voting for?

You don't advocate freedom of speech? Open dialog with people of varying viewpoints?

You are very funny. Have a nice day.

I guess you think that all of us who didn't vote for Corzine are kooks?

Nothing I've ever said makes me a seditionist or anti-American kook.

God bless you.

And a Republican by all accounts of previous posts....LOL
