Mousavi: Obama Should Make Deal for Aghazadeh

Gholam Reza Aghazadeh gave no reason for his resignation, according the semi-official ISNA news agency. But Aghazadeh has long been close to opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, who claims to be the victor in June 12 presidential elections.

In his post, which he held for 12 years, Aghazadeh has pushed steadily ahead with Iran's nuclear program, which the West fears is aimed at developing a nuclear weapon. Iran denies that charge, saying it wants only to generate electricity, and it rejects U.N. demands it halt uranium enrichment.

Perhaps this is a way for President Obama's administration to finally get to the 'facts' about Iran's nuclear program?

I believe I read somewhere that Mir Hossein Mousavi was wanting to or wanted to, talk to President Obama.  Perhaps the President could make a deal with him now.

Obama: I'll talk to you if you give me Aghazadeh.

Recovery & Reinvestment: Time For an Update

I'm thinking it's time to remind folks where just a small percentage of the stimulus money has gone just since March of this year.

Where is the money going?  Education: $53 billion, State and Local Relief: $144 billion, Energy: $43 billion, Health Care: $59 billion, Infrastructure and Science: $111 billion, Other: $8 billion, Protecting the vulnerable: $81 billion, Tax Relief: $288 billion.

Please visit RECOVERY.GOV to see exactly what the State of Illinois has gotten so far (a total of $10,027,992,868 as of today).  You can find other state totals here.

Investments by Agency can be found here.  You can track their progress here.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) reports their findings on the Recovery Act here.

You and I may argue what is stimulus and what is reinvestment or infrastructure; but surely we can agree that President Obama and Vice President Biden along with their administration is trying harder than any other administration or government agency in history to keep their actions completely transparent and open to American citizens.

These actions by themselves are history in the making.  Can you name one administration that has ever done this tracking of every dollar they spend?  I know I can't.
