Blagojevich Press Conference
While I appreciate the FBI and Attorney General getting the 'goods' on any criminals I must say i recent FBI Special Agent-in-Charge Robert Grant saying that, "if Illinois wasn't the most corrupt State, it sure is a top competitor." He also said, "colleagues had been left "disgusted and revolted" by the case."
It's not the FBI's job to have an 'opinion'. And while Illinois has had some bad leaders recently, it doesn't mean that all Illinois politicians and it's residents are guilty of corruption.

He sounds more like a GOP member then an FBI agent.

Are you defending the governor (who's now in jail)?
The FBI agent is a GOP member because he doesn't like corrupt politicians who went to jail (like Dan Rostenkowski, Tony Rezko, George Ryan, etc)
FOUR of the last 7 governors have gone to jail. And you're worried about someone expressing their opinion????

I would bet that Coonsey would have NO ojbections if the FBI agent that got "the goods" on Bush called him a "scumbag" or a "dope". Right? Let's not be hypocritical

Wrong.
Maybe Coonsey wouldn't have objected. I would.
In fairness perhaps because I'm much older and lived through the guilt-by-association era. Which is mis identified sometimes as the McCarthy period altho it long outlasted him.
Quoting someone whose name I've forgotten one of the most thrilling things about the coming of a new Administration is that we have a chance to once again become a country in which the government follows the law.
This is not a partisan point. Can you imagine Ike permitting the tortuous legal interpretations of John Yoo? And remember Reagan's Secretary of Labor saying, when finally exonerated,"Where do I go to get my reputation back ?".
Historians aren't known for their skill at catching criminals nor should the FBI............

I am defending ILLINOIS -- not Blagojevich

There's nothing wrong with Grant's comment given that 4 of the last 7 IL governors have gone to jail.
You're the one politicizing it by saying he sounds like a member of the GOP.
