Week of September 7, 2008 - September 13, 2008

I sure wish I was a movie director.
I’d be making one heck of an ad reminding folks of the Bush years; to heck with McCain and Palin. Americans need to be reminded of what we’ve gone through for the past 8 years. Yes, I said ‘reminded’.
We all know that Americans, or should I say human beings, have a short memory. Isn’t that what President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Karl Rove have banked on for the past several years. They’ve ‘
changed’ the story line so many times it’s hard to keep up.
I would begin by editing the “Special Comment” given by
Keith Olbermann on
Countdown (MSNBC), picking off parts showing how the Bush administration used carefully timed ‘terror alerts’ to distract the media from ‘other news’ of the day. News that would make the administration ‘look’ bad. The alerts are all perfectly timed to ‘
change’ what the media is reporting.
I would bring back the story of the leaked CIA agent’s name and how Bush promised to fire the person that leaked the name – then ends up pardoning Scooter Libby one of the men to have leaked the name.
I would point out the number of Executive directives overriding bills that Congress passed and Bush signed. I would point out the “United States does not torture” comments by Bush and the Attorney General, then I’d show the testimony showing that, yes indeed, we ‘did’ torture prisoners.
I would show the push for war in Iraq by Bush, Cheney, Condi Rice and even John McCain – all saying we must avoid the mushroom cloud, WMD comments, and piece of cake, we’d be greeted as liberators, and the insurgency are in their last throes, etc…
I would show how Bush argued a federal Department of Homeland Security wasn't needed, and then
changed his mind and devised a plan to create one.
I would show how he resisted a commission to investigate Iraq intelligence failures, but then
changed his mind and relented. He also initially opposed the creation of the independent commission to examine if the 2001 attacks could have been prevented, before
changing his mind and getting behind the idea under pressure from victims' families
He said they were only spying on international communications – we find out later he lied.
I would show clips of Bush and McCain during Katrina.
These are just a few examples that someone with a great deal more smarts then I, could put together in a coherent video.
At the end of the video I would show clips of John McCain saying on live television that he supported Bush 100% and that he voted for 90% of what Bush wanted.
John McCain/Sarah Palin – More Bush years to come -- More Change?

How much did you pay for gas yesterday or today?
My town's gas in southern Illinois was selling for around $4.05 last night (don't have a clue about this morning's yet; but one gas station said it will top out at $6 per gallon) and regular unleaded tanks were going empty by 5pm central time.
Let's keep the gas stations honest and let's report our findings to our Congressmen/women, the soon to be President and the CURRENT President -- so that maybe he'll release some reserves and help an already struggling economy.

Apparently Sarah Palin will be interviewed by
Sean Hannity next week. We all know what this involves.
It's a MAKE UP TEST!Hannity will give Palin a chance to RESTATE her Bush Doctrine opinions, her Russia and war statements, and she will also clarify what she meant that having Russia as a neighbor constitutes foreign policy experience.
If Sean Hannity were truly a reporter (which he's not) he would show the video of exactly what Palin said about
Iraq being GOD's plan. He would then ask Palin if she truly feels that way and why.
If Sarah Palin really wanted to get her message out there, she would do what Obama and McCain do -- by going to each political talk show, each intertainment show and get interviewed by them -- all in one weekend.
Instead, she and the McCain camp are limiting the interviews to one per week.
We have 7 wks till election day folks. That means she might be interviewed once a week for 5-6 wks - not counting the week she'll need to study up for the VP debate.
John McCain is afraid Sarah Palin will 'slip' between now and then, so they are avoiding the 'real' media.
Americans -- we should be OUTRAGED! The media is the only outlet for us to hear the opinions of those politians that want to be our leaders.
The McCain/Palin campaign is
denying us access to that information.
Visit the McCain/Palin website,
leave a message and DEMAND to see and hear more from Sarah Palin in one-on-one interviews.
She MUST answer
our questions -- not just the ones she wants to answer.
September 12, 2008, 12:38PM
Sarah Annie Oakley doesn't even know what the Bush Doctrine is - and McCain and Voters want HER to lead and protect them?
I guess being a Sportswoman and possible Vice president -- they'll end up killing a bear so they can name the stuffed animal after her.
Perhaps the animal should be a possum instead? That way Palin can PLAY dead when asked questions.

I can't find a transcript of last night's forum with John McCain and Barack Obama being interviewed but did anybody take note of McCain's comment about Mayors having it tougher then most politicians?
He said something to the effect of, mayors have a harder job then his going to the White House and being somewhat 'divorced' from the day to day common people's problems.
I thought that was VERY TELLING of his attitude of the Presidency. Barack Obama plans on bringing those common people WITH HIM to the White House. McCain apparently's leaving us behind.
One other observation I had was when Sarah Palin was being interviewed by Charlie Gibson yesterday, he was asking about her experience -- she literally downgraded anybody that had years and years of experience (like McCain). Did anybody else notice that?

It's time Democrats stood up and applauded Barack Obama for his superbly ran campaign.
Obama came out of virtually nowhere, took on the DNC, the dynasty of Bill and Hillary Clinton, the religious right, the right wing media and political pundits and the media as a whole and he not only did that, he won the Democrats primary nomination.
He's taking on a famous military POW that spent 6 years of his life in Hanoi
prison cell, and has 30 years of political experience.
Yet after all the attacks, all the name calling, all the personal
accusations, all the lies made against him, all the jokes about his
‘change message’ and his great speech making - he is still STANDING
TALL.
Instead of we, so-called experts (myself included), telling him what he's doing wrong or what he should be doing -- we should be applauding him and putting our trust in his good judgment - to go on and win this thing.
After all -- he and his crew have gotten this far without using our suggestions.

I posted this very early this morning but I feel there's still a need for people to read it:
Here we go again talking about Hillary Clinton and how Barack Obama
would have been better off picking her then picking Joe Biden.
Hillary doesn't even have to say anything, yet the media will find a story about, guess what, her NOT saying anything.
Tonight's TPM story is about Hillary defending Obama by, guess what, NOT saying anything - directly to Palin.
This whole week had been devoted to making Barack Obama appear weak and off balance.
I
don't know who these so-called Democrats are that are 'shaking in the
booties', according to political pundits; but they need to quit falling
for the GOP, Karl Rove and the media's TRAPS!
I can't count the
times I heard some news commentator or guest on a talk show last night
say something like, "She knocked Obama for a loop.." or "McCain's
managed to out maneuver Obama..." or "Obama seems a little off balance
since Palin was introduced..".
Come on people. Barack Obama, a
complete UNKNOWN this time last year, has taken on the Democratic
establishment and won their primary.
Barack Obama, a complete
UNKNOWN this time last year, has taken on the dynasty of Bill and
Hillary Clinton and out maneuvered them to win the Democratic primary.
Barack
Obama has taken on the mass media, the right wingers and all their
swift boating and he continues to lead in several of the polls and is
leading in the current Electoral College counts.
Barack Obama, a
complete UNKNOWN this time last year, is taking on a famous military
POW that spent 6 years of his life in Hanoi prison cell, that has 30
years of political experience and 'use to be considered' a maverick of
his Party -- and yet Obama still leads or ties when matched up against
this war hero.
Yet after all the attacks, all the name calling,
all the personal accusations, all the lies made against him, all the
jokes about his 'change message' and his great speech making - he is
still STANDING TALL and he is still CALM, COOL and COLLECTED.
Barack Obama is ready to Win this thing in November and be our next President in January 2009.
John
McCain picks a VP that is a good speaker (nobody's accusing HER of just
giving a good speech), a sportswoman, gun lover and a pro-lifer -- and
now all we hear is (even though McCain's plans have not changed -- McCain is all about 'change' too?
People
say Obama shouldn't have taken on Sarah Palin - I disagree. He had
to. It's HIS voice people listen to. His opinion is the one people
want to hear, not Joe Bidens, not Hillary's and not some surrogate.
It's
the media that's FALLING all over Palin - not the Democrats or Barack
Obama. The Republicans didn't FALL for Palin -- till the media started
being STAR STRUCK.
It's the media that was 'fascinated'
immediately after Palin's speech at the GOP convention. That speech,
except for maybe the soccer mom comment -- would have been used by any
VP selected by McCain folks.
It's the media that made something
of this Pig with lipstick comment of Obama's - waiting a day or two to
point out that McCain himself has used the term many times.
Obama had to take those celebrity lights
away from her and put them in storage. Which he's apparently doing a
great job doing. The media seems to be finally GETTING IT!
Both
Hillary and John McCain were able to successfully point out the media's
'fascination' over Barack Obama during the primary. Perhaps they are
finally seeing their mistakes when it comes to Palin too? If not,
perhaps we need to prove it to them with a video of our own.
Heck, maybe if we're real lucky, Saturday Night Live will run a sketch showing the media's fascination over 'her' now.
The
GOP and Karl Rove picked Sarah Palin because of her Downs Syndrome
baby, her five kids, her abortion stance, her involvement with oil, her
love for guns and hunting and her son being in the military about to
deploy to Iraq.
They picked her for good PUBLIC RELATIONS to draw their base into the mold.
One problem, she's all hype with no substance and she's a liar.
John McCain's first major act as a possible president was judging who to pick for his VP -- he failed the test.

I remember being one of those sending in my vision for a fitting memorial to 9/11 lives lost, do you? Did you send in something? I created a drawing of my own vision. It was in a way, a healing process for me. Sadly, we still don't see any memorial standing tall on that great empty lot.
Why?
Seven years after being attacked that day and yet no memorial has been even started on that site.
Dads, moms, son, daughters continue to visit a empty lot in New York every year - why is that?
The memorial for the Pentagon is just now, this day, being presented. A full seven years since the attack. Why has it taken so long?
We can build huge towers and business buildings in less than a year and yet these memorials that, according to this administration, mean so much -- have yet to be created.
Why?
They are showing the memorial at the Pentagon right now -- note the crowd. It's HUGE. Could it be Election Year?

People are wondering why Senator Biden isn't being the one to take Governor Palin on. They want Senator Obama to rise above the fray and let Biden take her on.
Well - my theory is this. They are waiting till the VP debate for Biden to do so. He'll save his hits for that day.
Besides, Biden tends to slip with his words once in awhile and might blow it out of the water for Obama, so Obama's doing mild attacks just to keep her and McCain in sync while the accumulate the GOODS on her for the VP debate.
Go Biden!

I thought Bush said we were CUTTING troops? This week the Army and Air Force announced an increase, while the Navy and
Marine Corps announced a decrease. The Coast Guard number remained the same.
The
net collective result is 4,050 more reservists activated than last week.
At any given time, services may activate some units and
individuals while deactivating others, making it possible for these figures to
either increase or decrease. The total number currently on active duty from the
Army National Guard and Army Reserve is 87,818; Navy Reserve, 5,619; Air
National Guard and Air Force Reserve, 12,466; Marine Corps Reserve, 8,007; and
the Coast Guard Reserve, 738. This brings the total National Guard and Reserve
personnel who have been activated to 114,648, including both units and
individual augmentees.
A cumulative roster of all National Guard and Reserve personnel
who are currently activated can be found at;

Maybe it's time for a new reality type show on network stations. Maybe there should be a Truth or Dare show again? You could use a new name but you get the idea from this one.
This show will be about politics and government.
Whenever a politician (leadership area) makes a statement, that statement goes before the judges of this new show.
The judges having no real knowledge whether the statement is true or false -- they have to guess. If they get it right, they win money. If they get it wrong they have to suffer somehow (lose money?).
In the end - the TRUTH is told about the original statement and what politician made it. A media person is then (taped) sent out to ask that politician why he/she lied or if the statement is true - to congratulate them.
Think of the Jay Leno show, where he goes and talks to people on the street asking them political questions about their country or it's history. That sort of atmosphere.
I think this would not only be funny to hear comments from off the street people in the judges panel; but it would provide an education and teach politicians they must be honest -- if they are, they will benefit from it.
Ready? Who has the money to start this? Volunteers?

If this isn’t a sign of a huge foreign policy blunder I don’t know what is. Read parts of the following
article about Pakistan.
Democrats have said for a few years now that it’s time to use covert actions to get the enemy, that the military can’t be used for every fight. And for saying those things, they’ve been ridiculed and called weak in defense.
Now we see President Bush, Dick Cheney, John McCain and the Republicans also believe covert actions (police actions) can work and should be used. And now they agree that we’ve had an over reliance of military action.
PESHAWAR, Pakistan - Frustrated by repeated dead ends in the search for Osama bin Laden, U.S. and Pakistani officials said they are questioning long-held assumptions about their strategy and are shifting tactics to intensify the use of the unmanned but lethal Predator drone spy plane in the mountains of western Pakistan.
The number of Hellfire missile attacks by Predators in Pakistan has more than tripled, with 11 strikes reported by Pakistani officials this year, compared with three in 2007.
There has been no confirmed trace of bin Laden since he narrowly escaped from the CIA and the U.S. military after the battle near Tora Bora, Afghanistan, in December 2001, according to U.S., Pakistani and European officials...
In interviews, the officials attributed their failure to find bin Laden to an over reliance on military force, disruptions posed by the war in Iraq and a pattern of underestimating the enemy....
"Iraq was a fundamental wrong turn. That was the most strategically negative action that was taken," said John O. Brennan, a former deputy executive director of the CIA and a former chief of the National Counterterrorism Center. "The collective effort in the government required to go after an individual like bin Laden -- the Iraq campaign consumed that."...
More recently, the search has been hobbled by a tattered relationship between the United States and Pakistan. CIA and U.S. military officials said cooperation is so bad that they now withhold intelligence about the suspected whereabouts of al-Qaeda commanders out of fear that the Pakistanis might tip them off...
U.S. officials said they have drafted several covert missions since 2005 that would have dispatched teams of Navy SEALs and the Army's Delta Force into Pakistan after receiving intelligence on individual al-Qaeda leaders, though not bin Laden. But most of the raids were canceled or failed to receive high-level approval...
Finally, Democrats and Barack Obama are being vindicated for their efforts to get to the truth of the matter.
Many of us have advocated using covert actions instead of invading nations like Iraq, only to be made fun of or called weak and chickenhawks. Well - it appears a little BRAIN work comes in handy sometimes.

WE CAN'T KILL OUR WAY TO VICTORY
The U.S. is "running out of time" to win the war in Afghanistan, and
sending in more troops will not guarantee victory, the chairman of the
Joint Chiefs of Staff warned Congress on Wednesday.
Adm. Michael Mullen made his statement to the House Armed Services
Committee a day after President Bush announced the deployment of 4,500
additional troops to the poor, war-ravaged nation.
Mullen said
he is convinced the war can be won, but the U.S. urgently needs to
improve its nation-building initiatives and its cross-border strategy
with Pakistan.
"We can't kill our way to victory, and no armed
force anywhere -- no matter how good -- can deliver these keys alone.
It requires teamwork and cooperation," Mullen said, according to
prepared remarks for his appearance before the House Armed Services
Committee.
Mullen's remarks came a day before the seventh
anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks on the World Trade
Center and the Pentagon, which prompted the U.S.-led invasion of
Afghanistan.
**********************************************************************************************************************
I think this statement is SO TELLING.
Think of them when you hear John McCain, the GOP members and the Bush
administration pushing for troops in Iraq to stay.

Sarah Palin and John McCain are DENYING American’s the ONLY
ACCESS they have to INFORMATION before making a valid judgment on who
to vote for in Nov.
They are not just spitting in the eye’s of reporters, they are thumbing their noses at VOTERS!
Voters have a RIGHT to know everything about John McCain and Sarah Palin before deciding to vote for them or not.
How DARE they spit in our faces!
September 10, 2008, 10:12AM
Senator Barack Obama, you need to show people where you
stand on issues such as health care, labor law reforms and other policies
affecting working people. You need to
visit unemployment offices, union halls and soup lines.
Senator, do you or your family ever remember being so broke
that you ate macaroni and cheese with water because you couldn’t afford to buy
milk? Do you remember those beans and
cornbread or hotdog and bean (if you could afford it) nights? Have you ever experienced milk toast or
eating leftovers for days on end? Did
you ever go to bed hungry sir?
Do you or your family remember wrapping yourselves up with
extra blankets wearing double socks and clothes to keep warm because you
couldn’t afford to keep the heat too high or you didn’t have any at all? Do you remember sharing a bath tub of water
to take a bath so as to save on the water bill?
Senator, have you ever gotten a ‘last warning’ post card in
the mail telling you that your electricity or water will soon be cut off soon
if you don’t pay your bill by such and such date? Have you ever missed a credit card payment or
rent payment?
Have you ever gone to a doctor in need of medical attention
but felt you were treated differently because you couldn’t pay the bill or had
no insurance to help pay for those x-rays?
Have you ever watch your child suffer from an illness
because you couldn’t afford to take them to a doctor? Have you ever had them come to you and say
daddy I’m hungry?
When you were growing up with your mom Senator, did any of
these things happened that I mention? Well
sir, if they did, you need to ‘re-live’ them in front of Americans. They need to see that ‘you too’ have suffered
in the past.
I’ve seen you talk about your and Michelle’s college bills
and how you spent years paying them off.
That’s a start sir; but you need to tell us more. We need to see the bread and butter issues sir.
We know about your being raised by a single mom and
grandparents; but what happened during that time sir? Did you experience any hardships during that
time? You mentioned the death of your
mom during the convention. Can you tell
us a bit more of what happened?
While I'm sure you have gone through some of this hardships
having been raised in a single parent environment - others aren't aware of it
sir.
John McCain and his campaign have successfully shown a ‘human’
side of McCain by telling about his POW days in detail (how he couldn’t feed
himself and his fellow inmates did it for him, the daily beatings,
etc...).
Senator Obama that’s the part of your story we’ve not seen. You need to help Americans see ‘you’ as a
human being and not just as a skilled politician.
We need to relate to you sir – what hardships have you
endured?

Where was all the love being expressed by Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Rudy Guiliani and Sarah Palin in 2000?
John McCain was more of a maverick back then, then he's been the past 8 years. Why the switch-a-roo of support now?
Who
did Mitt Romney support in 2000? Who did Mike Huckabee support back in
2000. Who did Rudy Guiliani support back in 2000? And most important,
who did Sarah Palin support in 2000?
Where was the LOVE in 2000?
What's
CHANGED since 2000 with John McCain? Not a darn thing -- except that
he voted and supported George W. Bush and Dick Cheney over 90% of the
time while in office.
Where was the LOVE in 2000?
Sarah
Palin quoted the Majority Leader Reid in saying that he "couldn't stand
John McCain". Sarah Palin then said, "we chose the right man my
friends".
What happened to John McCain's PROMISE to WORK ACROSS PARTY LINES?
Where was all this LOVE in 2000?
Folks
-- these same people IGNORED this so-called GREAT MAN back in 2000.
They chose INSTEAD a man that went AWOL from the National Guard.
If they didn't want him in 2000 --- why in hell should we want him now?
Somebody needs to ask Sarah who she voted for in 2000 and 2004.
September 9, 2008, 12:01PM
On Sunday McCain/Palin had poll numbers showing as much as a 10pt lead over Obama/Biden -- It's now either TIED or McCain's up by only 2pts.
What's happening? Did they Lose their
Groove?
When will the media talk about those figures? Why is McCain/Palin dropping in the polls?
Could it be that American's are finally hearing some of the 'truth' about them?
September 9, 2008, 9:46AM
It has been 10 days since John McCain announced the name of
Sarah Palin for his Vice Presidential pick.
Sarah Palin has yet to be interviewed by even one reporter or political
pundit. She is to have her first interview
with Charlie Gibson Thursday. A Gibson
interview, as we all know, is a little like being interviewed by a
supporter. That interview is 3 days away,
so that will make it 13 days of having no interviews of Palin.
Americans, as of September 1st, had exactly 64
days to decide who they will vote for on November 4th as their
President for the next four years of their lives.
John McCain and Sarah Palin have taken it upon themselves to
give American’s even less time to make that huge decision (they've spit in our faces).
As of now, American’s only have 51 days to
decide who they will vote for in November.
That is, if she agrees to other interviews beside Gibson’s between now and Nov.
This holding out on interviews is actually a political
strategy. It has nothing to do with settling her affairs in Alaska.
She did that weeks ago. Yes - weeks. I'm sure she was put on the Glen Beck and the Marie Bartiromo's shows to help her politically during the campaign - back in June and August.
I'm a firm believer that McCain and the GOP knew they were picking Palin before Democrats ended their primary.
Sarah Palin is preparing to cheat on a huge upcoming test; the
test of her life.
The McCain/Palin campaign has decided to get the questions
and the answers to this upcoming test – before hand.
They are watching and waiting for the media, bloggers and
political pundits to research her records, her comments, her speeches and her
personal life. They are watching and
waiting while these same folks sit around and discuss the information they’ve
found. All the while, they
(McCain/Plain) sit back and take notes.
To give you an example of this process, on her new show on
MSNBC last night, Rachel Maddow showed a video of Sarah Palin speaking at her
church discussing God’s involvement with governmental affairs. Afterwards, Rachel and Pat Buchanan discussed
the problems Palin may have because of those comments. Both had suggestions or questions of
Palin. Whenever Rachel questioned
something, Pat would give a possible answer that Palin herself could end up
using if ever approached on the subject.
In other words folks – they are cheating.
Rather then send Sarah Palin out to the wolves on day one,
they are gathering the questions she’ll be asked -- and they are gathering the
answers she will end up giving.
The media, political pundits and bloggers are supplying ‘giving
away’ the answers to the test that Palin must soon face.
When Sarah Palin finally begins doing interviews, she will
already have the test paper (questions) in hand – with the answers nearby.
What can be done about this cheating? Not much.
Except to maybe pray that some reporters have held back releasing their
questions till D-Day.

Ever since Wednesday night when Sarah Palin gave her acceptance speech for John McCain's VP choice, the media has gone way overboard bragging her up, acting as though she were the new messiah (couldn't resist using that word). After that John McCain's speech also went well. His HERO status was been refreshed in the minds of voters.
The sudden craze is beyond comprehension except maybe they're in a state of shock that McCain would do so well at the convention.
Here's my theory: Are the media playing NICE now -- so they can claim they were FAIR later? Will they begin attacking McCain/Palin later this month after the debates or just before Election Day?
Is this KINDNESS and LOVE just temporary?

Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy goofed during an interview on MSNBC when discussing Governor Palin and McCain's choice for VP.
Not their fault - but it happened, truth is out there. Now to save face, they should be true Americans and write about their true feelings on Palin. They'd MAKE news for themselves and show they aren't ALWAYS right wingers.
If Peggy Noonan - Pres Reagan's former speech writer had any GUTS, she would write a column on what she REALLY feels about McCain's choice for VP.
She might also add something about this not talking to reporters -- this is the ONLY WAY voters get access to Palin. Palin is DENYING Americans the right to hear all sides of her story.

Democrats Should USE this Republican's 527 Video - replacing Obama's name with Palin's name:
Republican political strategists in California are setting up a new
political organization which hopes to run television commercials
undermining the central themes of Senator Obama's presidential campaign
while underscoring the strengths of his Republican opponent, Senator
McCain of Arizona.
Leadership for America's Future was formally created on Thursday by a
Sacramento, Calif.-based attorney, Thomas Hiltachk, according to a form
registering the so-called 527 group with the Internal Revenue Service.
The organization's slick Web siteuntested hands.
"It's not always the
world we dream of. It can be belligerent and unpredictable, where an
unsure response can have lasting consequences for generations," the
announcer says over a montage that includes a plane crashing into the
World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 and video of an American flag
fluttering at the gutted site after the terrorist attacks. "No matter
how eloquently spoken, hoping for change won't change the world. Only
the strength of experience can do that."
includes a 30-second video (click on "MEDIA") that shows images of war
and misery around the world as an announcer gravely warns of the
dangers of putting America in
If they want to play with the candidate's experience card --- Turn About Is Fair Play!

Remember those Ross Perot infomercials that he would pay for himself, that would last a half hour or more? Remember the famous graphs and charts he would show us? Ross would spend the entire half hour discussing the issues of his campaign, explaining his reasoning and ideas with charts or graphs. I believe it wasn't long after those infomercials that Congressional members began using those same kinds of charts during their speeches.
If Senator Barack Obama wants to improve his chances against Senator John McCain, he might consider paying for one or two infomercials to be aired sometime late September or early October.
He should find the best Hollywood director and producer possible, to help him produce the best half hour infomercial ever to be seen.
Barack Obama isn't the best debater but he's a very good speaker. The idea of an infomercial would give him that forum. He will need to spend the full half hour, explaining his experience, his judgments, his vision and how he plans to attain them.
He should discuss the differences between him and John McCain. He should use charts, graphs, quotes and pictures to show the route McCain chose to take and the route he took and will continue to take.
He needs to get all the facts out there - pull no punches.
Toward the middle of the infomercial he could begin to talk about Iraq and its cost so far and what could have been paid for, if we weren't in Iraq. He could show how Iraq would benefit if we were to begin withdrawing. He could let American's know that the Iraqi government has said 'no' to any permanent American bases and how the Iraqi government said they want American’s out by 2011.
Lastly, Senator Obama could discuss his desire to bring America back to the time where the world cared about her and deeply respected her.
Once the infomercial is aired, network and cable stations will of course talk about it and show different parts of it. YouTube and Myspace could get a copy for online viewers. It would spread like wildfire - he'll get a lot of FREE air time from it.
The goal should be to show Obama the man, the husband and father, the lawyer, the legislator, the Senator and his vision for tomorrow and his optimism for the future of America.

We heard for MONTHS and still do from those on the right that Obama has
no experience. Heck, the Republican convention spent their entire time
discussing his lack of experience and not being READY.
Now we
see stories about Sarah Palin being TAUGHT McCain's policies and about
Foreign Polcy. Even today on DKOS there's a story that Lieberman is
teaching her foreign policy.
I've NEVER read where Obama had to be TAUGHT anything.
If Sarah Palin is READY -- why must she be TAUGHT ANYTHING?
Why
isn't this a HUGE story on the news DAILY? She's NOT ready on Day One
to even take on the MEDIA -- let alone controlling the dangers toward
America.
Come on MEDIA -- why aren't you questioning this LACK
OF KNOWLEDGE and WHY AMERICAN'S should TRUST her to take over our
nations worries and SAFETY?
Lastly -- if Palin isn't READY on Day One --- doesn't that show John McCain's LACK of JUDGMENT?
Even Peggy Noonan, President Reagan's speech writer says she's NOT experienced enough....and this was a Republican screw up.

It’s a well known fact that even though a voter may be a Democrat, Republican or an Independent they will vote for the opposite Party just so that there is a ‘divided government’ or as some would call it, a ‘check and balance’ government.
Polls are now showing that the Democratic Party will retain power over the House and Senate in November. Some are even saying that the Democrats will have the largest majority since 1937 (George Will on This Week 9/7/08).
For this reason alone, some voters will vote for Senator John McCain as President – just to keep a divided government.
It is for this reason that perhaps Senator Barack Obama should consider running, in part, against the Democrats. Yes, I said against the Democrats.
Perhaps he should highlight his comments today on
This Week with George Stephanopoulos about how he will take on some things that some Democrats won’t like.
He mentioned for instance, that he liked the idea of charter schools and pay for performance which the teachers unions aren’t exactly for. He talked about increasing the military which to some Democrats is wasting money. He mentioned trying to reduce health care litigation costs and that he was working with Hillary Clinton on this before the primary. He also said that he planned on running an audit and eliminating programs that just don’t work anymore, saying that many Democrats will fight him on that. He also wants to look at the way we fund Medicare.
He didn’t mention it on this show but he went up against the Democratic Party signing onto the FISA bill recently. That stirred the pot a great deal and still does. He also said during his convention speech that he will eliminate capital gains taxes for the small businesses, and he said he will go through the federal budget, line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work and making the ones we do need work better and cost less.
One issue near and dear to Republicans is one Obama’s been pushing since day one; Individual responsibility and mutual responsibility. He's been telling fathers to live up to their obligations and parents to turn of the TV and read to their kids.
Those are all issues that some Democrats will fight to the death for or against (figuratively speaking).
Barack Obama plans on taking them all on. He feels he can convince them that change is needed and how to do it responsibly and fairly.
This shows that if Barack Obama is our President and there is a majority of Democrats running Congress – that indeed there will ‘
still be’ a divided government when it comes to many of today’s issues. While Barack Obama will lean toward Democratic principles, he will also have Republican stances.
Neither democrats nor Republicans will have complete power. So if voters are concerned about one Party having complete control –knowing these facts about Obama should help to relieve their concerns a bit.
We've already seen from the past 8 years that the opposite would not be true.

USATODAY talks about how perhaps those labels and pins for McCain/Palin should be reversed to say Palin/McCain. If I were John McCain I wouldn't appreciate that very much. This could be embarrassing and harmful to his campaign in the long run.
McCain now has his 'own' celebrity to contend with, and she's taking away his limelight.
Palin is even getting the star treatment from celebrity magazines,
websites and television programs, which have played up her personal
story as a mother of five children, one of whom is 17 years old,
unmarried and pregnant.
People aren't coming to see 'McCain', they are coming to see 'Palin'. They appear extremely excited and ready to 'go' while she's talking; but once McCain takes the stage they quiet down and seem almost bored. People are even seen leaving the scene.
Palin makes great speeches; but she's yet to prove that she can take the 'heat' like Barack Obama has over the past 19 months.
Instead of finding a VP choice that will be 'ready' to be commander-n-chief on Day One -- McCain's decided it's more important that she be ready to be '
attract the crowds (be my celebrity)' on Day One.
Get the crowds to come, he tells her -- I'll take over from there.
Only one problem John McCain -- She not only grabs the crowds,
she makes you appear even more boring and out of touch.Do American's really want to wake up daily to listen to some speech or comment you've made John McCain? Are they waiting on the edge of their seats to hear what you are about to tell them?
If they look at you in that manner sir -- you've lost.
