Week of May 4, 2008 - May 10, 2008

To West Virginia and Kentucky Voters

If you want to end this Democratic campaign right now -- you can!  By voting for Barack Obama.

While Hillary Clinton ran a hard campaign, she has lost barring some miracle.

Wasting your money and vote on her will not get her the nomination now.

Please for the Obama and end this thing now, so that Barack Obama can begin to really take on John McCain and win back the White House and more of the Congress.

Lets go Democrats -- Vote Obama

Time for Media to Treate Hillary Like Huckabee, Romney and Paul

It's over!

The media needs to start treating Hillary Clinton like they did Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney at the end of their campaign runs against John McCain. IGNORE HER

This constant paying attention to Hillary, now that Barack Obama has gotten more delegates (he gained 7 yesterday), both in elected and super (ABC), the popular vote and he has won 32 (almost 33 lacking 1 pct in Indiana) out of 47 States -- is ludicrous.

Why they continue to treat her as though this race were 'close' or 'tied', is beyond comprehension.  Especially since all the 'experts' in the political pundit world have declared Barack Obama the Democrat's "presumptive nominee".

It's over.

Barack Obama is holding a Florida fundraiser on May 22.  This is his second one planned.  Obama is running his General Election media.  According to Obama's campaign -- he'll have clinched the nomination on May 20th.

Unless by chance Obama should ask Hillary to run as his VP (I pray not) -- there is no longer a reason to give her a 'stage' to play on.

Just like Huckabee, Paul and Romney, she can continue campaigning but since Rasmussein is no longer polling her name -- the media needs to stop giving her the attention she no longer deserves.  The race is on.  Obama vs McCain!

Time for Media to Walk Away From Hillary - It's No Longer a Close Race

Two Big Time Worries For Obama To Take On - NOW

On the USA TODAY’s website today they have two very important stories being told about our military troops.

The first being that of, “Age, mold assail military barracks”.  They tell the story of our soldiers fight to keep mold out of their showers during the summers and keeping the heating system working properly in their barracks across America.  Some barracks had to be closed down because they were falling apart.  Some of these buildings are a century old.  Maintenance budgets being limited causes even more grief.

I find this disgusting.  What is that $5000.00 per second, according to Senate Majority Leader Reid, being spent on that he says is funding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

I know from my own home town’s experience that some of that money may have been wasted redesigning National Guard Armories.  Nobody 'lives' there.  Thousands were spent improving the ‘appearance’ of our armory.  From what I can tell, after being inside, nothing was improved inside the building.

President Bush and the Republican Party have done nothing but ‘’brag’ about being the ‘ones’ to have ‘supported’ our troops over the past 5 years.  They’ve demanded billions of dollars over the years for the un-necessary war they started in Iraq – apparently they’ve used it to help improve the Iraqi people’s lives instead of our own troops medical facilities and living quarters.

The second story is about, “GI benefits stymie funding bill”.  This time it’s the Democrat leadership that is retreating from a plan that includes an improved education benefit for post-9/11 veterans.  Some Democrats are concerned about expanding a permanent entitlement program without paying for it.

The Congressional Budget Office released a preliminary estimate showing it would cost $51.8 billion over 10 years. Annual costs would rise throughout the period, CBO said, reaching $7 billion a year in 2018.

That would make it the most expensive new entitlement program created by Congress since the Medicare prescription drug benefit in 2003. That benefit was estimated at the time to cost about $400 billion over 10 years, a figure that has increased since then.

While this is admirable for Democrats to be concerned about the taxpayer dollars, unlike the Republicans have been over the past 7 plus years, they are bulking on the ‘wrongissue.

This plan would entitle veterans with at least three years' cumulative active-duty service, including National Guard and Reserve members, to a full ride at any public university in the country.

In 5 years we have spent $875 billion dollars on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

These men and women voluntarily gave up at least 3 years of their lives for their country – but we can’t ‘afford’ to pay for their education?  Just $51.8 billion over 10 years?  What a disgrace.

Somebody awhile back said that Barack Obama, in order to get more Independent voters on his side, needed to tell Democrats and Republicans something they don’t ‘want’ to hear.  Well Senator Obama, here you go - two BIG TIME stories.

Hillary Truly Is For Change - Seems To Believe in White Supremacy

Hillary Says No to Michigan - Obama Gets Facts Before Deciding

Hillary is rejecting the new plan by Michigan Dems that would seat the delegation by awarding 69 delegates to Hillary and 59 to Obama.

"This proposal does not honor the 600,000 votes that were cast in Michigan's January primary. Those votes must be counted."

This isn't about 600,000 voters.  It's about Hillary Clinton wanting to WIN.

It's not Barack Obama's fault the DNC made these rules.

Voters know it.  They aren't dumb.

Michigan and Florida won't be settled till after May 31st.  Obama's not signing onto anything till he knows exactly what he has to negotiate with -- he READS the facts before making a decision unlike his opponent.

Cindy McCain As First Lady (Same Power as Hillary Had) Refuses To Release Taxes

W. Virginia and Kentucky - Obama should visit them (yes or no)

Should Barack Obama actively campaign, at least make a couple appearances in West Virginia and Kentucky before the May 13 and 20th primaries?

I think he should.  They TOO are future States that we will need in the Fall.

Showing you CARE just might improve your results there.

Hillary's Ready On Day One - In Case of October Surprise

Hillary and her supporters are out there pushing the idea that they're worried about an "October surprise" with respects to Obama's campaign.  This is ridiculous.

Barack Obama or John McCain could drop dead tomorrow; does that mean we choose new candidates based on what 'could' happen?  Heck, even Hillary could drop dead tomorrow; does that mean we ‘shouldn’t' vote for her because of that possibility?

Hillary's stated many times that she'd be 'ready on day one'; so if by chance something does come up between now and the convention with Obama, super delegates can switch sides and nominate her.  Meanwhile however, she needs to help her Party 'move on' and make that official announcement that she will be stepping down and supporting Barack Obama for President of United States.

If she insists on staying in the race, she’d best be cooling her attacks against the Democrat’s potential nominee – or lose any future support from them.  She should attack John McCain instead.

A Disneyland amusement park inside Baghdad; this is pathetic!

Thousands of our troops have been killed or injured in Iraq over the past 5 years.  We lost 50 soldiers just last month.

Tax payers are spending billions of dollars ($5000 per second according to Senator Reid, the Senate Majority Leader) every day to protect the Iraqi people and their country.

Our current leadership and his possible predecessor, GOP nominee, Senator John McCain, predict we may continue to be there for up to a hundred years.

Our nation is looked down upon by our allies for our invading a nation that hadn’t attacked us.

Surrounding nations like Iran, Syria and Turkey are trying to put their people in position in Iraq to over take whatever influence we may have had there.

Now this;

Mr Werner, chairman of C3, a Los Angeles-based holding company for private equity firms, is pouring millions of dollars into developing the Baghdad Zoo and Entertainment Experience, a massive American-style amusement park that will feature a skateboard park, rides, a concert theatre and a museum. It is being designed by the firm that developed Disneyland. “The people need this kind of positive influence. It’s going to have a huge psychological impact,” Mr Werner said.

The 50-acre (20 hectare) swath of land sits adjacent to the Green Zone and encompasses Baghdad’s existing zoo, which was looted, left without power and abandoned after the American-led invasion in 2003…
Mr Werner, who has been sold a 50-year lease on the site by the Mayor of Baghdad for an undisclosed sum, says that the time is ripe for the amusement park. “I think people will embrace it. They’ll see it as an opportunity for their children regardless if they’re Shia or Sunni. They’ll say their kids deserve a place to play and they’ll leave it alone.”

Excuse me?  Some of our troops are on their 4th and 5th deployment to Iraq.  Their families are hurting financially and emotionally.  Some of these men and women have 1-5 year old children they’ve rarely seen, let alone been able to take them to an amusement park.

This has nothing what so ever to do with giving the Iraqi’s a “positive influence”.  It’s all about the bottom line

Ya think maybe these companies investing in Iraq’s future could maybe invest a little money in our troop’s lives?

I’m sorry but this company’s priorities --- simply suck!

Hillary- "OCTOBER SURPRISE" - If It Happens, You're Ready On Day One, Meanwhile Step Down

If Hillary Clinton continues to push this race as though she has a chance of winning, then she is nothing but a VERY SORE LOSER

She's acting like a child that lost at the game - refusing to ACCEPT FACTS, instead throwing a temper tantrum by stomping her feet saying, "no, no, no, I won, I won!"

The media and the Democratic Party needs to stop Hillary - starting today.  The people have spoken.  Barack Obama is the winner of the Democratic Nomination.

Instead of being humble and supporting the Party and the people's decision -- she's implying she will not step away. Hillary Clinton and Bill CLinton are apparently out for themselves if this is the case.  There's no other good reason possible for her to act as though she could still win.

If they truly supported the VOTERS choices -- they'd ACCEPT THEM and get behind the WINNER, Barack Obama.

Hillary's supporters were out there last night pushing the idea that they're worried about an "October surprise" with respects to Obama's campaign.  Well folks, Barack Obama or John McCain could drop dead tomorrow.  Does that mean we choose new candidates based on what 'could' happen?

As for Florida and Michigan voters -- it's not Obama's fault their leadership disobeyed the DNC rules.  He followed them.  Hillary Clinton went along with those rules up and until she saw that she would actually 'need' those delegates.  A comprimise should be made to get the delegates seated; but not allow them to be a deciding factor in the race.

Hillary's already proven that she'd be 'ready on day one', so if by chance something does come up between now and the convention with Obama, super delegates can switch sides and nominate her at the convention.  Meanwhile however, she needs to help her Party 'move on' and make an official announcement that she will be stepping down and supporting Barack Obama for President of United States.

On to West Virginia and Kentucky -- Obama Improves When They Meet Him

I sincerely hope Barack Obama's campaign travels to West Virginia and Kentucky before the 13th and the 20th.

I realize the polls show Hillary beating Obama by a large amount; but that's been the case in many other States too. Before, that is, he shows up there and introduces himself.

By going to these states, he will be helping himself not only for these primaries but for the general election.

Show them what you are made of Obama!

Clinton's Are Spoile Brats Refusing to Admit Losing The Game

The Clinton's are like spoiled children unwilling to ACCEPT a loss in a game.

How DARE they assume to KNOW what's BEST FOR US!

Hillary, Bill and Chelsea -- the voters have voted -- according to the DNC rules that YOU signed onto -- Barack Obama has this nomination all but locked up.  There is no way that you can take it away from him.

Unless of course you pass MORE gossip around to try and damage the Democratic Party's nominee.

Have you no HONOR left in your soul?  Step aside NOW.

Harold Ford Says Obama Should Consider a Obama/Clinton Ticket

Harold Ford from Tennessee just said that he thinks Barack Obama after tonight, if the numbers stay they way they are, will likely be the Democratic nominee.  He said that Obama's win tonight will make it impossible for Hillary to make up the elected delegates or popular vote.

He went as far as recommending that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton start considering running as a team Obama/Clinton!

This man has pretty much sided with Hillary Clinton's chances of winning up to know.  His saying these things tell me that this is it.  That once the rest of the nation votes, Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee and he should consider asking Hillary to be his VP.

Obama Wins!

Obama Will Win Indiana and North Carolina - watch Video

I realize that most polls show Hillary Clinton winning in Indianapolis but after seeing this video of over 21,000 Hoosiers coming out to see Barack Obama last night in Indianapolis --- I am predicting a minor upset for Obama.  I predict he will win Both Indiana and North Carolina.

Indiana will give him a 1-3pt advantage over Hillary.

North Carolina will give him 4-9 pts over Hillary.

Please watch this video and see if you don't agree with my predictions afterwards:  Indianapolis Video

Senator Hillary Clinton (NY) after 9/11 -- Families Ignored?

Do any of you remember the weeks after 9/11 perhaps watching the O'Reilly Show on Fox, with him discussing with some ladies about not being able to get access to Senator Hillary Clinton?

I seem to remember O'Reilly criticizing Hillary about not helping families that lost loved ones during 9/11 attackes.  I also remember something about Hillary refusing to attend any of the funerals of those lost.

If ANYBODY has some information about this, please let me know.

Thanks

Obama Wins Guam Media -- HIS Momentum CONTINUES....

USATODAY says Barack Obama won Guam -- BARELY

Barack Obama has defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton in Saturday's Democratic caucuses on Guam by just seven votes.

More than 4,500 island Democrats voted.

Neither candidate campaigned in person on the Pacific island 8,000 miles from Washington.

I don't know about you but I'm betting that if Hillary had won Guam by those 7 votes or even just one vote, USATODAY and many others in the media would have had headlines saying something like, "Hillary's Momentum Continues..."

This constant push to give Hillary Clinton an 'edge' or another 'chance' to win this nomination is pretty pathetic.

Most in the media are continuing to imply that Hillary can still win the elected delegate count.  This is literally impossible folks.  Facts are facts.

Since Hillary's win in Pennsylvania (which by the way, she didn't get that double digit win they said she needed to convince super delegates to come her way), the media's been saying that Barack Obama's lost 'his' momentum, can he get it back?

Excuse me?
Seems odd that they've all forgotten that Obama won in Mississippi - Big Time.  That was the last primary before PA.

Before Mississippi, Barack Obama won Wisconsin, Hawaii, Vermont, Wyoming and Washington

As for Hillary winning in Texas, truth be told, Barack Obama ended up with more delegates when you combine the primary with the caucuses (which by the way, Bill Clinton loved during his campaigns in the 90's).  Hillary won 94 and Obama won 99 - according to CNN.
Barack Obama won Texas but the media isn't reporting that fact.

It's about Delegates folks.  That's the DNC rules.  Yes, you can argue that the popular vote is more important, but until the DNC changes their rules -- rules are rules.  Please don't act like the Bush/Cheney folks and ignore the rules.

Going back to the momentum questions; since February 19th, Barack Obama has won (including Texas delegate count) 7 states in a row.  Hillary Clinton has won 3.

Obama won 4 of his States since March 4th.  Hillary's won 3.  Now, tell me again, who's got the momentum here?

It was reported that Hillary Clinton was favored to win in Guam.  By the way, this article claimed nobody campaigned in Guam -- Chelsea traveled to Guam to campaign for her mother.  I believe she was even able to gain a superdelegate for Hillary while there.  Hillary Clinton still lost Guam.

As for superdelegates and who's gained the most since Pennsylvania; Barack Obama, I believe, has gained something like 10 to Hillary's 4-5.

Now, tell me again, who's got the momentum here?

Townhall Meet was for George Stephanopoulos's Benefit, Not Just Hillary's

It appears as though George Stephanopoulos’s plan for Hillary’s townhall meeting was to try and repair some damages she’s created for herself the past few weeks and possibly get more access for himself down the road.

While discussing NAFTA, Hillary was able to include ‘George’ as having known that she was against NAFTA in the 90’s.

While discussing the question as to why Barack Obama is receiving 90% of the African American voters, George states, “I suppose that’s to be expected.”  He clearly ignores the fact that Hillary is getting a larger portion of the women voters, I suppose that’s to be expected also, right George?

While discussing Hillary’s desire to have super delegates override what the voters voted for, Barack Obama, George gives an opening to Hillary to say something to the effect that she currently has the popular vote because when you add Michigan and Florida, she says, I win.  She points out that the candidates agreed not to campaign in those states, “Not to remove our names from the ballots”.  She’s basically saying, it’s not my fault Obama removed his name for the Michigan ballot.

While discussing her comments about obliterating Iran if they attack Israel, George once again allowed her to skip answering the question.

This townhall meeting wasn’t about Hillary Clinton, it was about George Stephanopoulos.  Otherwise he would have demanded that Hillary stay ‘seated’ during the interview.  Each talk show has their own background setting – he allowed Hillary to make her own (by refusing to sit), embarrassing George in doing so.

When George Stephanopoulos resigned from the White House, he wrote a book about his experiences in the there and in doing so he criticized the Clinton administration in several areas.

It appears that George has decided to get back on the ‘good side’ of Hillary so that ‘if’ she should ‘take’ this nomination – he will get direct ‘access’ to her presidential campaign and if she wins in November, her presidency.
