Al-Qaeda's Obama Problem

With Obama's recent actions seem to have created a bit of an image problem for Al-Qaeda.  The Washington Post today reports:
"With Obama,al-Qaeda faces an entirely new challenge, experts say: A U.S. president who campaigned to end the Iraq war and to close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and who polls show is well liked throughout the Muslim world...the change in Washington appears to have rattled al-Qaeda's leaders, some of whom are scrambling to convince the faithful that Obama and Bush are essentially the same"
-Wash Post Article
Now, the US' image problem is nothing new.  However, it wasn't until the Iraq war began that opinion in that region of the world really began to tank.  So what did the US do?  Started a tv channel.  On June 22, 2008, 60 Minutes reported:

Good post. Upbeat for Sunday.

The miserable rats are even more miserable because their brothers and sisters have more hope for the future and more belief in the American Way.

The notion that Al Qaeda would have the same problems with a B Hussein Obama as with a red blooded American like George W. Bush is absurd at face.

Al Qaeda is elated over it's good fortune with having such an unwavering ally elected to the highest position of world power. After all, blood is thicker than water!!!!

It will surprise me if at least part of the Al Qaeda leadership is not appointed to high positions in our domestic bureaucracy!!!!

Dammit! You made me laugh so hard that my tea came out of my nose and all over my keyboard! Now I have to clean it up! Send me your address so I can send you a bill if my laptop is ruined.

You know, I pigged out a couple of nights ago before going to bed, and a couple of hours later I, like belched in my sleep or something, and the most horrible acid reflux made it's way up into my sinuses. I hope that tea wasn't so bad!!

Renaye, there's a guy named spric who comments here who would probably like to meet (possibly marry) you.

user-pic

Thanks but no, I'm only into high end males.

user-pic

But he is high end! He used those exact words to describe himself yesterday! Check it out:

Or is your comment above a subtle hint that you ARE spric? Whichever, you two have a lot in common.

"The departure of George W. Bush deprived al-Qaeda of a polarizing American leader who reliably drove recruits and donations to the terrorist group"
-Washington Post, A1 "To Combat Obama, Al-Qaeda Hurls Insults"

Do you have any evidence to the contrary?

user-pic

Nah, she's only into 'low-end' knowledge.

And your proof of this is what, exactly?

user-pic

Read: Hussein, get it now?

user-pic

Nope.
What's his name got to do with it? The man's father picked that out. If your argument made any sense then we should be elated if Al Quaeda elected someone named "Walker" Right?
