Ethics Update!
Maybe Ted Stevens conviction on 7 felony counts HAS had an effect on Alaska politics. Sarah Palin is trying to cover her tracks of past breaches of the public trust and Alaska ethics laws by revealing free trips she "forgot" to report:

I wonder what other violations she will "remember" as time passes. I'm so happy to see the Republican party clinging to this empty shell as the future of their party. She is the gift that keeps on giving!

Yes, Palin seems to have a strange kind of memory disorder. Whereas others, over time, lose some memories, she seems to gain them... or vary them as the case may be.
What a piece of work! (that's SP, not you, of course_

I really don't care about whether or not Trig is her son, but I do care about state money being wrongfully used.
However, I agree that the more that comes about Palin over the next four years, the better I will sleep at night.

Palin is an eternal fount of political humor. I hope I'm not deluding myself, but I just can't see her as a viable candidate for national office or serving at the national level as an appointee, (Sec. Energy? -ha ha!). The only way I see her on a national ticket again is at the head of a splinter third party representing the wingnut branch of the current Republican party, (and what a large branch it is). Perhaps the Alaska Independence Party will throw its hat in the ring in 2012.
