What Have We Become?
Seven Marines and a Navy Corpsman were participants in the murder of an Iraqi man. They dragged him out of his home to a nearby ditch, scattered empty shell casings around him and KILLED him. What have we become?
The first interview with one of those 8 men is reported here:

I was a Navy Corpsman in Vietnam. I know atrocities happen in every war. But this kind of story provides our enemy with a huge recruiting tool. This kind of story should NEVER happen! This kind of story is only one of MANY things wrong with this war which the Bush administration started and continued through lies and doctored intelligence. The attorney for the Marine interviewed for this story said:
"The biggest frustration was ... how this all happened, and why eight great Americans who had sacrificed so much for this country would do something that on first glance seemed so horrible, was not going to find its way into evidence," Low said.
ON FIRST GLANCE?!? Which "glance" makes ANY of this right? What kind of training makes this kind of thing possible? What kind of leadership tolerates this kind of behavior? What have we become?
