The People

It struck me today after listening to "Georgie's" speech last night that there was something missing from his "usual" rhetoric. He said some things attempting to sound like he was moving toward the center. Speaking about immigration, health care and energy policy, he managed to bring the left side of the aisle to their feet several times.

Empty rhetoric, as usual. Nothing will be changed because his proposals in those areas are so ridiculous they will never be supported by either side.

He praised some "real" heroes near the end of the speech. Applause from both sides erupted. Meaningless, as usual. "Georgie" doesn't care about real people. He cares about corporate profit, the value of his "peers" stock portfolios and covering his %&* in future history books.

Unfortunately, the last has been decided for years. He will go down in history as the worst American president of all time. Bar none!

How about this, "Georgie?" How about spending some of the money you're pouring on Haliburton to "rebuild" Iraq into a different pot? You can still give it to Haliburton. You can still ensure generations of the Cheney family will never have to work because of the value of their portfolio. Your daughters can still behave shamefully all over the civilized world because your family will NEVER run out of money because of the things you've done to our country.

What, you ask? Give Haliburton the billions to rebuild New Orleans. You didn't even mention New Orleans or Katrina in your speech. Because that's a negative for you, right, Mr. Bush? Guess what... EVERYTHING you've done is a negative to the American people. Your lies, arrogance and incompetence have been exposed so clearly that only 30% still have ANY faith in you or your words. Three out of ten, "Georgie."

You've shamed your father, your family and our country. In the words of that great philosopher, Daffy Duck: You're despicable!

Prophecy

Well, I'm not Nostradomus but it's not difficult to see into our country's short term future.

Our illustrious "Idiot In Chief" is pulling troops from Afghanistan and redeploying them to Baghdad. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the folly in this move. But, then again, I've watched time and again as "Georgie" made obviously horrible decisions.

PREDICTION 1: There will be an offensive by the Taliban in Afghanistan as soon as the weather breaks. They have been building up in the mountains, training and preparing for this offensive all winter and most who pay attention to the news know what's coming. Unfortunately, "Georgie" doesn't read or watch the news (except of course Fox News).

There are still 30% of Americans who still support this idiocy of sending 21,000 more brave Americans into the middle of Iraq's civil war.

PREDICTION 2: There will be new records set in the number of American service men and women who are killed and wounded each month during the next 90-180 days. If "Georgie" doesn't know this, he's the only American who doesn't. Each time a soldier or marine is killed or wounded the responsibility for that death or injury lies directly at the feet of George W. Bush. It no longer can even be shared with Rummy or Dickie or Condi. I've given consideration to "Georgie" being mildly retarded (and I'm being generous) in previous horrible decisions because he was manipulated by the Neo-Con monsters who operate his puppet strings. But he is no longer entitled to ANY consideration. The vast majority sees him for what he is: A dishonest, incompetent, arrogant monster.

A carrier group has been ordered into the Persian Gulf by "Georgie." More lives placed at risk. More of our government's money squandered. More dangerous idiocy!

PREDICTION 3: There will be an "incident" in the Persian Gulf. Either Iran's idiotic leadership will foolishly attack one of our vessels or our idiotic leadership will initiate an attack on Iranian soil. Either way, this is an escalation our country should not condone. I hope Congress will step in before we wind up in a war with the entire Middle East.

Finally, tomorrow "Georgie" speaks. Another State of the Union address from our "First Cowboy" will be difficult for me to watch.

I always listen to these. Even when they are given by this incompetent, arrogant idiot.

PREDICTION 4: "Georgie" will, like Arnold, pretend to become a Democrat. He will attempt to spin the rhetoric away from his Iraq policy by focusing on illegal immigration, global warming and our economy. Too little, too late! The good news is: Limbaugh, Hannity and the rest of the far right pundits may collectively commit suicide. Poor John McCain who sold his soul to support Bush's policies is DOOMED! And now who will be the Republican candidate in 2008?

The Democrats have so many viable candidates for next year's election it gives moderates like me hope for the first time in years! I voted for Edwards in the 2004 primary. He is a brilliant young man and he's come a long way in his knowledge and experience since then. He would be a wonderful candidate again. Obama is smart and has such charisma that he will be formidable too. Hillary, well, she's Hillary. Never count a Clinton out. But, and this may surprise some, I think my favorite is Bill Richardson. He's quietly placed himself in the middle of this race. He's an incredible diplomat and he's done a great job as governor of New Mexico. Watch out for him.

PREDICTION 5: I'm going out on a limb to predict the Democratic ticket for '08...

Edwards/Richardson or Richardson/Edwards.

Enough for today. I'll be getting back to blogging every day in a week or two.
