The People
It struck me today after listening to "Georgie's" speech last night that there was something missing from his "usual" rhetoric. He said some things attempting to sound like he was moving toward the center. Speaking about immigration, health care and energy policy, he managed to bring the left side of the aisle to their feet several times.
Empty rhetoric, as usual. Nothing will be changed because his proposals in those areas are so ridiculous they will never be supported by either side.
He praised some "real" heroes near the end of the speech. Applause from both sides erupted. Meaningless, as usual. "Georgie" doesn't care about real people. He cares about corporate profit, the value of his "peers" stock portfolios and covering his %&* in future history books.
Unfortunately, the last has been decided for years. He will go down in history as the worst American president of all time. Bar none!
How about this, "Georgie?" How about spending some of the money you're pouring on Haliburton to "rebuild" Iraq into a different pot? You can still give it to Haliburton. You can still ensure generations of the Cheney family will never have to work because of the value of their portfolio. Your daughters can still behave shamefully all over the civilized world because your family will NEVER run out of money because of the things you've done to our country.
What, you ask? Give Haliburton the billions to rebuild New Orleans. You didn't even mention New Orleans or Katrina in your speech. Because that's a negative for you, right, Mr. Bush? Guess what... EVERYTHING you've done is a negative to the American people. Your lies, arrogance and incompetence have been exposed so clearly that only 30% still have ANY faith in you or your words. Three out of ten, "Georgie."
You've shamed your father, your family and our country. In the words of that great philosopher, Daffy Duck: You're despicable!
