Chavez Speaks At United Nations

There is no shortage of ridiculous rhetoric in politics today.

Democrats demonize Republicans. Republicans demonize Democrats. Yada, Yada, Yada... And the beat goes on.

During the past couple of days the United Nations has been the "bully pulpit" for several idiotic Presidents: President Hugo Chavez Frias of Venezuela, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran.. And, last but not least, President George W. Bush of the United States. I listened to all three and have trouble figuring which one is the biggest idiot!

Iran's president lied through his teeth but at least he had the courage to ask for a debate with "Georgie" so I have to give him SOME credit.

Chavez called our president the "Devil" which everyone in America knows to be untrue... Karl Rove is the "DEVIL." "Georgie" isn't smart enough to run Hell. He'd have the place covered in ice in no time as incompetent as he is. Although all those wealthy people down there would probably donate to give him the job.

And then there's "Georgie".. The "KING" of the World! He stood in front of all the leaders, diplomats and ambassadors from nations all over the world and showed them the arrogance and ignorance we've all seen for the past six years.

What a performance he gave! With that idiotic smirk he can't seem to control and that frown he thinks intimidates EVERYONE, he let the word N-U-K-U-L-A-R show him for the dunce he is.

You know folks, this guy represents us when he attempts to intimidate everyone on the planet. Is anyone else embarassed when he gives a speech? His shameful attempt to dictate policy to the WORLD was frightening all right. But not in the way he intended. It was frightening because he actually believes he is "KING."

Today's Edward R. Murrow

Tonight there was another poignant moment in television history. Another brief glimpse into that quality which our representatives in Washington DC seem to lack... Courage!

Tonight another Keith Olbermann comment spoke to "power" in a way that can only happen in America.

Keith is the closest thing we have today to Edward R. Murrow who, with similar courage, faced down one of our country's most evil memories: Senator Joseph McCarthy.

Now we have an administration which is as dangerous and out of control as McCarthy was in the early 50's.

Bloggers expose them every day but to reach the audience as vast as Keith Olbermann's is difficult for us. Everyone in America should see tonight's comment.

Keith made a comment after "Rummy's" ridiculous "Nazi" reference. Keith made a comment after "Georgie's" 9/11 speech which was an obvious attempt to fill us with FEAR as he and his administration have done for the past 6 years. Keith's comments are always right on target and stunningly poetic.

EVERYONE should watch Keith Olbermann. He is the best news anchor on TV.

2 + 2 = 5 (Enron Accounting 101)

Well, I finally made it back home. I wanted to blog about the rapidly dropping gas prices. It should be good news for everyone. But think about what's happening...

I know "They" will tell us it's all about market pressures and "supply and demand."

Here's a way to test that theory:

Check out the oil company profits for the past 3 quarterly reports. Keep an open mind now. Even if you're a Republican who believes as "Gordon Gecko" that GREED, for the lack of a better word... Is GOOD! You'll see an obscene profit for the past two quarters.

Now, the cynic in me says these new lower prices are going to affect the next two quarters. What do you think? Are they really dealing with supply and demand? Or... Will their profits drop sharply because of this "new" generosity they suddenly found less than 60 days before the mid-terms?

Did the FEAR of losing their "majority" of YES MEN scare them into sacrificing the profit for a quarter or two? I think it's obvious.

Now, don't forget these guys are all savvy to the "Enron" system of accounting. They will figure a way to manipulate the numbers to attempt to hide what's going on. But it has to show up in the next two cycles. At least there will be a signifigant drop from the obscenely high "profits" of recent months.

Don't let them get away with this! Remember to vote November 7, without considering the $1.99 price at the pump that day! The monsters are still lurking and will raise their ugly, GREEDY heads as soon as they retain their power to bite us again.
