I have to say that following this is getting a bit old. Is there truly nothing new in their bag of tricks?

"New GOP Meme On Joe Wilson: Obama Started It!" and they're gonna tell mom.

And in case it is overlooked, which I doubt:

Obama did use the words "...prominent politicians..."; and he did use in the same section of his discourse the words "It is a lie, plain and simple." Wossname mentions this when referring to the Wilson issue; which was about racism and the disrespect it engenders.

Here is that portion of the speech:

"Some of people's concerns have grown out of bogus claims spread by those whose only agenda is to kill reform at any cost. The best example is the claim made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but by prominent politicians, that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens. Now, such a charge would be laughable if it weren't so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple."

So let the Republicans frame their argument on how racism will not lead to health-care discrimination against Americans.
