Here's what I think

The Onion is probably not far from the mark: Obama is having more than one quiet chuckle, followed by another "WFT?!?" moment when faced with yet another instantiation of Batshit Americana.

What else could he do? I have no evidence that he leaps into his pants; nor that he rips off his shirt and mutters "I've gotta get out of these Clark Kent clothes, RFN."

In today's News of the Batshit, we ken that Heraldress Bachmann has transmogrified into a Feminazi. Maximum Republican Demagogue Limbaugh's relevant use, documented by Media Matters. Apparently, Maximum Demagogue blames someone else for the term.

And how far behind can intellectual hefty Sarah Palin be?

Introducing calmness, sanity, and perspective: doomed to fail?

Probably. People worked up into a state of frothing don't respond to New Age Bliss Ninny exhortations to "Breathe; and relax!"

In cases like that, people need a conk in the head accompanied by "You better come up for some air!"

Remember the good old days?

What to look for next....

...in the general area of the resurgent militias? Ties to organized crime.

Duh

Regarding: Josh's post Troubled History

I'm wondering about an index of these kinds of posts.

And what's preventing people from saying these kinds of things?

There is not one Republican sufficiently reconstructed. I'm not asking; I'm saying: not even one.

Ironic, no?

The Republican Party, un-reconstructed and unable to recognize nor declare that as a nation (never mind as a species) we've matured beyond the need for civil war. The only thing that matters to such an entity is power; political and otherwise. The only type of power that will remain to a party void of principle will take the form resembling that belonging to a despot or tyrant: void of humanity; void of even vestiges of notions concerned with the common good; an entity comprising an idiot elite with a rotted group mind, like a tooth decayed from too much sugar; voiding whatever is left of its intelligent faculty as if it were so much septic waste.

There is a point at which it is not sad; but dangerous.

That point is somewhere around the time that the people who attend gun shows dressed like Nazis tell you that they fear fascism.
