Memewatch: The Pity Party
In his
post Josh says:
"...The right's capacity for gonzo victimhood really knows no end."
Which is, from my PoV: "Look what your face did to my fist."
So here's some analysis from the Republicans at Politico:
"...a full-scale effort first hatched by some of the most familiar names in politics and now being guided in part from inside the White House."
"A senior White House aide has been tasked with helping to guide the Limbaugh strategy. "
Which is a version of: "It's a vast right-wing conspiracy".
Further down:
"Democrats can barely suppress their smiles these days, overjoyed...at what they see as their success in managing to further marginalize a party already on the outs."
One can see here that the Republicans are being marginalized by Democrats, not by the results of their behavior; marginalized by the vast left-wing conspiracy, not by an electoral process; marginalized by unpopularity or some ephemeral political triviality, not by the results of implementing for eight years their theories of governance, expressed by Grover Norquist: "Strangle it in the bathtub."
"Look what your face did to my fist!"
That's pitiable politics: the TPP.
You're welcome.
