Screw You truthseeker77

I didn't read you latest post, but I did check to see if you had comments turned off.   Yep.  What a cowardly guy you are.

Everyone else don't try to comment on the coward's post and hit recommend by mistake.

LOL I write a long post about how awesome I think TPM is and then the next post points out a pretty nasty flaw in their design ;-)

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll have a meeting and next week the site will go down. I mean, they'll fix it :-P

user-pic

Like, I said...welcome to the nut house!

user-pic

There was a discussion earlier, on an Al Shaw thread, of whether commentators should or should not be able to disable comments, and it was related to truthseeker77.

I think your post was right on. I find the Huff Post and Daily Kos sights to be useless.

user-pic

Chris, you forget to say anything relevant to the Krugman/Drudge post I wrote. You are going to make other readers understand why I disable comments: because of those like you who contribute nothing to posts. You act all macho pretending to have the capability to debunk or challenge my claims, but you say NOTHING at the end.

user-pic

If you are going to be a coward and not allow comments on your posts, don't be a hypocrite and spew your crap on anyone else's posts.

truthseeker77: coward and hypocrite

Is that too strong? OK, you just plain suck.

user-pic

astral just said NOTHING about the Krugman/Drudge diary.

COWARD.

user-pic

Technically, this post has nothing to do with Krugman or Drudge. If you wanted to get into that, you should have left commenting on. I would have had a few things to say about it directly.

user-pic

No one cares about your damned Krugman/Drudge diary, pinhead. Begone!

user-pic

I did not read your post and will not read your posts so long as you are so cowardly that you disable comments. If you hadn't disable comments I perhaps would have commented on your post, as I have repeatedly in the past. It's a matter of principle.

Screw you coward.

I did not read your post and will not read your posts

Chris Brown, don't play yourself. You read my diary but you were not expecting me to challenge you. I would eat you for lunch if we were to debate the points raised in my Krugman/Drudge post or any other post. You just want to distract people from the fact that many in TPM used to worship Drudge and despise Krugman until Krugman won the Nobel Prize and Drudge turned against Obama.

user-pic

Wow dude, I will take this one opportunity to give you some feedback. You sound to me like you have some kind of 'god' complex.

I haven't seen you post anything of interest to me or I would have commented and as long as I was speaking on a subject that I have knowledge in... I wouldn't feel at all weak in the knees about conversing with you.

I do want to recommend to everyone at TPM that if we choose to blog to interact with specific persons that we all refrain from recommending the post so that it is not part of recommended posts and is not used as a weapon for causing public shame to anyone! I understand the use of posts as we do not have chat or one another's email addresses etc. but I am not in support of using posts for the purpose of trying to shame anyone.

user-pic

I keep reading the same copy pasted comment about failing to "post something relavent to my thought XX" and I wonder if this is real.

It must be.

user-pic

But deep down I fear it is not. It makes me wonder if it is I who has lost his mind.

user-pic

Nope. Nope. It's not you, Elliot. Trust me.

user-pic

I didn't agree with Krugman for the longest time. I'm still not sure I do.

But one thing I do know: Anyone who uses the name truthseeker and yet doesn't seek the truth, must be a hypocrite.

Just my 2 cents.

user-pic

Thanks for utilizing the utility in question, ts77. It's become an issue and those who chose to deploy it can expect incoming from any direction.

I rec'd this out of pure pique and want this to serve as a timely example of what someone who uses the function to personally attack another poster can expect.

ts77, you too can become a part of this community as a token wingnut but only if you post something substantive and interesting once in awhile.

Trolls can starve in this Cafe and more than a few have eventually been "disappeared" aka "banned", TPM style.

It's up to you.

user-pic

Krugman/Drudge? You're making me sleepy.

user-pic

Wow. A TPM'er that is not enjoying my criticism against TPM. The shock!

user-pic

Whether I play with myself or not is none of your business.

user-pic

I have great news guys. I have implemented new rules that will allow you to post comments in my threads as long as you do not change the subject of the issue being discussed.

Read them.

user-pic

Fair enough.

user-pic

Screw you, truthseeker77.

user-pic

1. I will not read your stupid rules. Who are you to set rules for the rest of us? We are all adults here.

2. I will not read any of your blogs. You have shown you are not interested in give-and-take of ideas and are so insecure that you cannot even let other people comment except by "special" terms that you have set up.

3. You don't understand the whole point of this site, which is exchanging ideas -- maybe you should go and check with John McCain -- I understand he is looking for a new diva.

4. You need to change your name.

user-pic

Truthseeker77,

Finally, a reply that seeks to find a relatively
Useful means of dialog. we trust that you are still
Civil in you mode of discourse and willing to add
Knowledge to the base of discussion and thought.

Yearn to build trust at TPM. some of your posts
Only seem to add static, noise, and negative
Utility, I'm hopeful this will change.

user-pic

I'd like everyone to know that, as of this comment, I am only accepting compliments on my posts from now on. If three or more people break this rule, I will shut down the entire Internet.

user-pic

I thought only codegen86 could do that.

user-pic

Yes. But I usually try not to do that, out of respect for others.

user-pic

Likely story

user-pic

LOL!!! (And I use that sparingly. Or maybe never. But that was damn funny.)

Really. I'm still laughing.

user-pic

You're cracking me up, Buddy! Be assured I am thrilled with your comment! And I'm ready to be thrilled over and over in future!

user-pic

Hey, can I get the same deal? Except in real life? Wow -- people can only say nice things to me. I like it! Too bad it is ridiculous.

user-pic

If you ignore it, in time it may realize it is talking only to itself. It seeks not truth, but reinforcement of its illusions, and thus disables comments to its "posts", so there is no possibility even of that.

It is both a coward and a fool, and is in that way both repellent and negligible.

user-pic

It is truthseeker77. That is its crime, and that is its punishment.

user-pic

I've only made a few posts and unfortunately one of my last ones here was on the thread of "he who only desires to speak to himself".

My comments, constructed in the form of an opinion, were met with unadulterated snark from the author. My follow-up response was to inquire whether the author was seeking constructive dialogue or congratulatory pats on the back.

An attempted dialogue absent willing acceptance of diverse thoughts and opinions, regardless of agreement, is not a dialogue at all--it's a monologue.

My personal thoughts--let this individual open and close his own show, absent recognition or fanfare. After all, if someone screams in the wilderness for attention, do they really make a sound?

user-pic

AAARRRHH! The Black Spot, is it?
