Help me out with this, righties. According to you guys:

1. Democrats/liberals are socialists and/or communists, right? And von Brunn is supposed to be a "lefty", by which you must mean a Democrat or liberal. So, is von Brunn a socialist? Is he trying to turn this into a socialist country? That's what you've been accusing Democrats of.

2. Democrats/liberals hate guns and want to take everyone's guns away. So, does that mean von Brunn is for gun control? Is he an anti-gun wimp?

3. Democrats/liberals are accused of wanting to go easy on Islamic terrorists. Are you saying that von Brunn...

Oh forget it. I could go on for pages and pages with the incongruities. There is nobody on god's green earth, not even--especially not even--the assholes peddling this crap, who believes that von Brunn belongs on the left side of the political spectrum in any respect whatsoever.

Violent gun-lover? Check. Hates government? Check. Virulent racist? Check. Hell, at the rate of the GOP's declining numbers and imminent implosion, this guy isn't that far off from being just an average member of their base.

That's right Terry. And you know why? Because you ARE all alike. You're mentally ill. You condone and encourage violence, trying to rationalize it by saying that you have no other choice. You have an obsession that leads you to value one very narrow section of humanity far above all others. In your case, it's fetuses. In von Brunn's it's white Christians. Everyone else is fair game.

Napolitano called it right. You and your kind are a danger to the rest of the people in this country. You don't care who gets hurt, because it's all in the name of your crusade to save every single fetus and you don't care how many post-natal humans get killed in the process.

This is exactly why unions were created in the first place. Management won't do a damn thing that isn't in their own narrow, personal, and financial interests unless there's a collective bargaining unit big enough to force them to do it.

This is taking exactly as long as you can expect it to take, no matter what state you're in, when you don't have either a U.S. Supreme Court stepping in and killing the process or news media that are serving the interests of one party by helping to paint the other as sore losers. Also, we didn't have faux 'ordinary citizens' harassing the election officials during the recount.

Thinking that it's gone on too long and wanting it to be over is understandable, but that has no bearing whatsoever on legal avenues for ending it. Corporations are able to drag out lawsuits well past the point where those bringing the suits are still alive to see the outcome. Corporations have the money to do that and the law allows them.

Your complaint is with Coleman, not with Minnesota or the judges.

"Trying to exploit this awful tragedy to score political points - from the right or the left - is simply grotesque. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."

Or, another way to look at it, Boner, is this: Republicans who count violent right-wing extremists among their supporters preferred to score political points by accusing Napolitano of discrimination over heeding an appropriate and prescient warning about the very things that have just occurred in Kansas and Washington D.C.

It wouldn't be surprising if Republicans honestly didn't see this coming, because one of the things that defines them as Republicans is their complete lack of foresight. That and their inability to recognize and understand causal relationships.

But, it's worse than that. Whether or not they could see it coming, they don't care. They don't think they'll be held responsible for attacking Napolitano over her report. They think it's too complicated for the general public to see their hand in it.

The evidence is stacking up and the Republicans are about to encounter an image problem that may finally be their undoing. If they think that the American public is sympathetic towards clinic bombers, assassins, or White supremacist terrorists, I say they should go with that hunch. Bet the house on it. Show us what you're really made of, righties.

I'll just bet you were having fits about deficit spending while it was Bush and the Republican-controlled Congress doing it.

You didn't happen to notice when things started going in the tank, did you? Since the private sector is so thoroughly hosed that just throwing more tax breaks at them (the republican recovery plan) wouldn't cut it, it called for the only body large enough to be capable of a massive influx of funds to jump-start the economy again. Hence, the stimulus package.

It's downright hilarious to hear Republicans rant about us borrowing from China now. What do you think we've been doing for well over a decade? Where do you think the money was coming from while Cheney was declaring that deficits don't matter? The borrow-and-spend GOP didn't have a problem with it back then.

Just crawl back under the rock. If you couldn't be bothered to pay attention while the Republicans were in control, don't suddenly pop up now and act like you're on top of things.

If it wasn't already crystal clear to everyone, Rush Limbaugh is the absolute nadir of ends-justify-the-means thinking, if it can be called thinking.

Nothing is too extreme for him to advocate or encourage in pursuit of those ends. And what ends does he pursue? Conservative defeating liberal. It's a football game to him and his team must win at any cost. He'd rather blow up the stadium than see the other team win. He doesn't give a rat's ass what happens to the fans in the stands. If they've got to be collateral damage, so be it.
