SHOULD MICHIGAN SAY 'NO BAILOUT' FOR TENNESSEE?
Now that Tennessee is buried in toxic coal waste sludge, I wonder if Michigan will declare that they should get no bailout from the federal government.
Maybe the foreign auto makers can bail them out.

Well, I live in Michigan. Lived my whole life here...don't plan on leaving...and I would absolutely agree with any bailout needed to deal with the sludge spill in Tennesee.
Why would I not support the effort if support is asked for?
As far as I can reckon, since the Tennessee River is a part of the landscape of my entire country, it belongs to me as much as it belongs to the folks in Tennessee...or Arizona..or Idaho. Therefore, I am responsible for its (or any other natural feature of our country) well-being no matter where it's located. If officials ask for financial help to deal with this disaster, I would have no problem supporting that solution.
If your post heading is in reference to that Corker fella not wanting to support the bailout of the Big Three here in Michigan, well, apples to oranges. One is hemorrhaging money, the other is hemorrhaging coal ash goop.
I'm not that petty. And if my senators and representatives were, they'd be hearing from me.

I have to admit revenge was the first thing that popped into my head, cheese, but flowerchild is right. The environment is not the same as an industry, although both sustain people's lives in different ways.
What I hope for, now that I am in my adult mode, is that Tennesseeans will be motivated to write their Congressmen/women and let know how they feel about being deluged with mountains of coal sludge and other environmental degradations.

Sorry, didn't finish my thought.
It strikes me that Corker and his ilk are not likely to back environmental programs and a green agenda unless they hear a lot about it from their constituents. They'll be pushing for the drill baby drill agenda and coal at any cost unless something changes their attitudes.
