One good inauguration day outcome following Warren's invocation

Obama could redeem himself somewhat if he were to "spank" Warren's views in his inaugural address and call for tolerance in a way that rebukes Warren's stated views.

I don't know if it's realistic to hope for this, but it sure would help.

Except Obama has talked about tolerance already - remember the speech on race? And he has practiced it throughout the entire campaign. I guess no one was paying attention. I didn't vote for Obama so that he can take revenge on those that wronged the left. I do believe, however, that Obama will give a speech that will make the left and right wingers feel pretty small and the rest of us "centrists" proud to be an American.

This is a great point -- a speech like that would be wonderful. I hope it is what we hear on Inauguration Day.
