If you are interested on what is happening in Oregon. I recently got this e-mail from an old friend who is working on the Gordon Smith campaign, his name is Richard Krikava.

...if I still have a job, I am too...still.

As of 12:15 pm today, Gordon is ahead by 2,700 and change. Multnomah county (very liberal and very populated) still has a bunch of ballots that need to be counted (delayed because of a flood in their basement-level counting office).

Clackamas County (South East Portland into the mountains area) is having significant counting problems because the ballots are too large for their machines - go figure. That'll take a day or two to sort out. Clack usually favors Gordon; then again, so does Washington County...and we're losing that by 4,700 votes (97% reported).

Marion, Lane, Jackson, and a few other counties have yet to fully count their ballots, and the late votes in those counties are surging toward Gordon.

The big question is, will all those other counties late votes out weigh the remaining votes from Multnomah County (currently running 60%-30% for the other guy)?

Won't know for a while, I'm afraid.

Does anyone else not understand a word of what Palin says when it is written out? I really struggle understanding her! I feel like I'm in the stage when learning another language, and you can understand if someone is speaking because you can get the situational gist of it, but when it is written out, you really have nothing to go off of and it just befuddles. I have this living nightmare of a thought sometimes. November, 4th, 2008, around 9p PST, and McCain/Palin are announced as winners. I shutter at that thought, it seriously freaks me the hell out! It cannot happen! I have been talking to everyone I come in contact with, offering my help to understand it all, I can't imagine the horror.

Please, let's stand up as Americans, say yes to Obama, we need him!

I really think that McCain yearns for the good ole' days before the internets and Youtubes. These robocalls are a pretty sly way to sneak a dirty ad in, without it getting much Youtube and internet play.

I'm more amused at the 10% that haven't made up their mind yet! They probably consider themselves Independents, think all the debates ended in a tie, think both or neither candidates represent their views, and that they can't get any meat or depth during the debate! This is one of the most indecisive groups in all of humanity! There is no meat BECAUSE of them! It pisses me off that politicians cater to this group, but angers me even more that this group usually decides elections. If after all of this campaigning and the last 8 years of your life, you really aren't sure who you are voting for, there are bigger battles to be fought than deciding who to vote for... But it should start there.
